What Quarterly Q.o.L. Maintenance Updates would you like to see ?

Doppler effect for ships in supercruise; redshift if they're going away, blue if approaching. Really minor, but it'd be neat.

Nice Idea and it would be a good visual indicator of relative velocity for the game - but since we're travelling faster than light ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This may have been mentioned before, but:

- Hotkey to re-select previous target station in system after having selected another ship. Could be the same hotkey as "select previous target system".

Ran out of bookmarks yesterday so better bookmarks.

Ran out of module storage a few weeks ago so better module storage.

A proper in-game Neutron Highway route plotter would be nice. I've gotten quite efficient at using spansh but why should I need to?

things I'd like to see:
Bribery- the ability to pay off the pirate who's trying to steal your cargo
Galaxy map- make it easier to select stars, trying to click a pixel size dot is a hassle at times when you're looking at 400 billion little dots.
bookmark sorting and better text field usage- editing text lines in a bookmark without having to delete the entire field and type it all again.
more comms traffic chatter in general around stations and occupied systems.
less spam mail in the messages boxes when doing missions-perhaps an auto removal function toggle to clear all messages once read and/or flag ones for save
more science research and exploration- a faction that is dedicated to exploration and discovery.
NPC comms conversation options -selecting a ship and being able to gain information from them , talk to them, as a deeper roleplay option.
Do something about all the pirates masquerading as security forces around stations flying up to every ship and scanning to find out if you're worth attacking or not.
keeping my pips how I set them when I land my ship and drive my srv. when I return to my ship its always set to weapons and systems even though I don't have it set that way normally.
the ability to modify my ships with engineering to put bigger and more modules in my ship.

That's a good idea, finally, something to put the ship kits to use,
Stretch sidewinder here we come with extra generators, Gun / Missile Pods, Extra Sensors, vector thrusters, and the list goes on.
Mexican hydraulic landing gear for the type 7:- "hello medium pads"

Anyhoo if we are going full hog, why not the ability to purchase Droids for the running of the ship, and see them doing what they're assigned to...
Like doing repairs, Flying the Ship, catering to the passengers.
(I say droids because you don't have to pay them)

If / when we can walk around our ships. (VR use the gamepad to walk around)

Passenger ships with passengers roaming around the ship facilities, allow them to interact with the ships modules.

Example
got an entertainment module, why not put a pool table, air hockey and other entertainment systems,
Mood lighting and see the passengers play, or in multi-crew, play with another commander/squadron, or in solo you Verses the AI.
the ability to wager whilst playing ( Extra money/data and Crafting items.)

Just ideas for a few silly things, or are they?
(social interaction/hub for commanders to feel like being in the game)
A lot of work i know :geek:

I just want FDEV to actually DO some of this. I have yet to hear any kind of announcement of their plans to take this time to DO QOL upgrades. I keep getting this sneaking feeling they are going to just not do anything and/or focus on another project or something and we just get the shaft.

I mean Fdev, you have a rare opportunity here, you have a community that is accepting, mostly, of the fact they aren't getting a major update for almost two years, so you BETTER hop to it and make with the QoL updates. Don't waste this time, this is a chance to win some easy points with the community, the industry and the space sim fan base at large.

I love your optomism. This (in-game customisable HUD colours) has been a hugely requested feature since before launch, so I don't expect any change prior to the 2020 'overhaul'.
However Frontier must give us some bones to gnaw while waiting for the new era. It would be a good thing.

Dimming cockpit lights is a good one. Who in their right mind puts windows on a spaceship and then puts in bright lights on the sides to frell up your noght vision. Guess the pilot does not need his mk1 eyeball as a sensor and those windows aren't needed then? Just some thick armor plate would make a heck of a lot more sense in that case.
