What ships can not have Guardian FSD boosters fitted?

After unlocking the FSD booster, I went to buy one and fit it to a Dolphin (which has a size 5 optional slot) at Founder's, Jameson Memorial. However, the Dolphin won't allow you to buy one in outfitting, and trying to fit one from stored modules shows no available slot.

What other ships can not have an FSD booster fitted?

It can have FSD booster fitted, but the size 5 slot is restricted to cabins, cargo racks or reinforcements. Orca and Beluga have similar restricted slots.

I have recently fitted one in the unrestricted size 4 slot on my Beluga (9.25 ly, still worth it).

There are a few other items you can fit in the dedicated "passenger compartment" slots (including the corrosion-resistant cargo rack), but the Booster isn't one of them.

I just unlocked this module today and can't seem to find it anywhere in the outfitting for my anaconda or any other ship at Jamison. Any idea why that is? is not sold at Jamison? I can buy all the other guardian modules I unlocked.
I have not played the game for a few months so I am not up to date on this stuff.

It has its own category in the fitting menu. Did you try logging off and back in again? That helps quite often when things aren't updating the way they should.

Honestly the whole "restricted" compartments for passenger cabins is stupid. Just allow Sand Krugar ships to be able to fit Luxury cabins where-ever and just remove the stupid restrictions so the ships can have other roles. Passenger missions mostly suck as is and the bulk ones that paid out good in the past were economy. Luxury has NEVER been worth it, let alone needing some of the absurd sizes that Luxury can come in.

I have unlocked booster yesterday and took my Cutter (with 2x6 and 1x5 free slots) to outfit her with these devices. I was a bit #sadpanda to see that you cannot fit more than one. I saw that AX weapons have a limit of 4 to be equipped and booster counts toward the limit. I hoped it's general limit of Guardian tech you can have. I was already seeing 70+ LYs Cutter... Ended with 50+, which is great result on its own.

Although I have more free slots, only those 3 mentioned were capable of accepting booster. Military slots are a no go. So to answer OPs question - there is no ship that cannot have Guardian Booster equipped - you only need an universal slot, not dedicated. This means decisions but even Sidewinder can have one.

Well I can confirm that this is still an issue,

Fitted my Booster at the unlock system to the ship I was in, went back to my home system to fit these to the other ships I have and they are not available even after a full log out and reboot.
Bought new ship and emptied it of optionals and still cant fit them. Seems not all stations will sell them even when you unlock.

Why is it that FSD boosters have their own category in outfitting and yet Guardian shield boosters are lumped in with hull reinforcements?

Seems like it'd be more straightforward to rename the "FSD Booster" category to "Guardian Hybrid Modules" and then bung all the Guardian PPs, PDists, HRPs, MRPs and SBs together in that category.

When I asked that question, the consensus was that it's because Shield Boosters Reinforcements can be fitted in Military slots. Which makes a kind of sense, anyway.

I have a related question. Can you only have one guardian FSD drive equipped or can you stack a bunch of them?

Yes but when the booster was available in that station previously in my other save....

One FSD booster only, same as attempting to fit multiple shield generators - you get only to place one aboard a ship.
