Seems to be buried & forgotten todays, but I still remember listening to this very song when I finally drove out of "my" Luftwaffe (Air Force) base for the very last time, in 1988. In a green metallic 70's Audi 80 GLS. One story ended, another one started. The song was on MTV and radio, on rotation, all the time back then.

Toto were great in so many ways, not only because of Steve Lukather (their epic drummer, Jeff Porcaro, played with Dire Straits during their final tour and sadly died of a heart attack shortly afterwards, at 38). I spent countless nights (at 15 and with all the wisdom one ever could need!) listening to a pirated socialized tape imagining what they sang about, including this. I still admire the tight mix with the powerchords ever going forwards. They won't play this on radio anymore, but then, they neither did in the 80s ;)

And this ofc, the clip is nearly as good as the song, with all the Heroes contributing shown while it plays. So many parts, so much variety. Including Springsteen, Slash, Clapton, Bonamassa, Beck, Vai, Lee, May, Satriani, Lukather, Gilmour, Townshend, Sting and a ton of others you wouldn't even suspect ;)
