What teensy tiny things would you like to see changed in ED?

Better & more variable mission text. For an avid roleplayer like me, reading the same bland, unaltering mission text just sucks the life out of the missions.

Oh, & more mission options/danger at those Proc. Gen facilities on planetary surfaces.

I don't think this is 'small' - I do, however - completely support you. If only the mission logic was as thought through as the galactic simulation was - it feels like it hasn't really moved on much since Frontier: First Encounters...

Oh, at the risk of being greedy....replace the current "search zone" mechanic (with its contantly shifting circle) with something that rewards skill over mere perseverance.

Have a look at the text for follow on missions, or even some of the text for certain mission wrinkles-many of them are actually exceĺlent. All they need to do is to bring that level of detail to the text for the starting missions ;).

Being able to change locked target in srv turret mode, not have to leave turret mode to do so.

Fix the spelling of the rare tea Haidne Black Brew. It's from the system named Haiden.

The heading "Legal Drugs" in a blackmarket is misleading. They are Illegal Drugs, which is why they are being sold to a blackmarket.

So there is one thing thats bugging me...the beigification issue. Now before someone sparks up the old realism argument, the devs already stated this was an unintentional side effect of other changes made a patch or two ago.

Not sure if thats easy or hard to fix, but it is bugging me greatly and ye did ask. Its an already unintentional bug and as they did hint at future qol improvements, then this is my offering to the salt pile ^

Change the message "Ensure to observe established startport protocol." "Ensure to... " is bad grammar. "Established" is redundant, all protocol is established. I suggest simply "Observe starport protocol." Would take but a moment.

Change the audio cue/sound for USS to be something unique

So that when uss hunting you can get your attention pulled at the right time... At the moment I hear the "tick"... Get excited.... Theb see 3 contacts lost

I mean we already have a different sound for mission uss

Oh... Here's one from a while back: I'd like to be able to target stellar systems from my actual canopy view of the stars, then go to the galactic map to see them there. Might be relatively easy, might not be. Can't really say for sure one way or the other.

"Huh, that looks kind of neat. Yes, I think I'd like to go there. Now then... where is there?"

...

I can see why this might not be feasible toward the core from a UI perspective, of course. It just seems like something you should be able to do in the game though. Maybe for the top most visible systems or something, since that's likely already accounted for when generating the sky map.

Last I checked, I think 6,000 was the default visible sky map star count.

When selecting a star in the gal map. The game knows where it is in the night sky (since you need to point at it to jump)... So that principle should be able to work in reverse.... Then just add a stellar cartographic zoom functoin to pinpoint the star in the night sky via your cockpit and we're in business

Now ships have registrations (whether they should always be displayed rather than having to pay to do so is a different issue), change station greetings to use the last three characters of that rather than first three of the commander's name.

This, too.

I've got one more - have a different sound for when the discover scanner doesn't find any new astronomical bodies. It's silly to have that dramatic orchestral stab alongside a message telling you that nothing has happened.

It's a literal space honk though. It generates and uses gravitational waves to make gravitational wave interference patters which can then be deciphered to detect the mass and range of bodies within a system, bodies in other systems being below the noise floor for the gravitational wave frequencies generated. The "sound" you hear is actually the frequency of the distances within your ear follicles changing due to these gravitational waves... or something like that. ;)

Ah well that explains the sound, plus the brief stab of pain.
