What to do after Engineers and Upgrades are done?!

Hello everyone, and good day....
I've been wondering if there will be any content to use what we grinded for all this long. (perhaps when the game becomes available to consoles?!)
Is there any "rumours"/"leaks"/"official" news about it?
We unlock engineers, upgrade suits, "visiting" settlements.... what then? What will be the practical in game application of such endeavor in a near future, rather than facilitating the grind itself?
Tnx in advance!

What do you do after you G5 engineer your ship?
If you tell me that after that, you get your un-engineered Eagle for some Nav Beacon fun, you can do that too using the default pilot suit and a non-engineered weapon :D
hi there... tnx for the reply.
well i gotta say I also thought on the 'sand box' aspect of the game, which 'resolves' my question, in a way... but I also conclude that would be kinda 'poor' in content, since with ships I can think of a million things I want to do, therefore engineering different ships in different ways makes me play the game.
With ships we can explore, do PVP, transport goods to repair stations, transport ppl to save 'them', we have thargoids, lots of lore POI's thargoid/guardian related, PVE for for rep and/or money, we can do trade, we can mine, etc....
On foot, as it is, I can only see 'a bit boring' exploration, CZ's and PVP.... without any practical ingame advantage... So I thought that maybe Frontier is keeping some 'on foot' content to be released later on, when the game is available in all the platforms....
(I wish)

Ignore the on-foot stuff and go back to to flying ships like in Horizons. Or you could just wait for new Odyssey content to drop at some point in the future.

Money for a FC, exploring the galaxy, doing Thargoid content, playing the BGS, PVP...

Odyssey money making is pathetic compared to space. Exploring is still mostly in space (but I agree that Odyssey add an extra layer). Which is ironic because exploring on ground doesn't need engineering.
The rest isn't there, or very limited.

If you are not involved in BGS or planetary exploration (exobiology) - then indeed, EDO does not offer a lot in terms of game loops.
There is a very limited number of mission types, a limited number of settlements layouts and the really cramped inventory does make material storage a real chore.

But if you are into BGS, you can now support your faction on-foot not only on-ship. This ads quite a degree of variance.

Edit: i would not count on extra EDO content. IT was marketed as a single DLC, all in one take, as opposed to the Seasons run by Horizons.

Was asking the same question in our community, as some are nearing all G5 / Mod upgrades/unlocks.

Arthur was quoted in an interview that "content will be added continually...."
Take what you will from that

(check the latest EliteWeek video on youtube, if you listen at the beginning of their audio cuts from the interview)
Tnx... that's what I was hopping for :)
will check that out :)

fair analysis... I never went into BGS too much... might get more into it later on, perhaps.... Tnx :)

Go explore the space. Choose a profession (trader, miner, bounty hunter, pirate...) Go fight some highe level pirates. Alihne youself with a minor faction and help it expand throughout the Bullble. Go hunt thargoids. visit all known guardian sites. Visit the Gyre trees. It is a sandbox game. there is a lot to do but you need to decide it for yourself.

I guess cosmetics count as content. 😆

1) Thank your maker that you won't have to do THAT again! (that's a lie. Pretty soon you'll get the hankering to build another ship).

2) Go do all of the things you couldn't do because you were too focused on getting everything to G5 because some YouTube nitwit managed to convince you that you couldn't "enjoy the game" without it.

3) Try a little bit of everything for as long as you think it's fun, switching between the ones you really enjoy.

4) Spread love, joy and happiness throughout the 'verse through your hardpoints, the way Lord Brebus intended us to do it.

Break somebodies face with it.
Geez, what else are guns for...

"Hi, I grinded myself to a female. I got a G5 marriage and 2 G5 engineered kids, so now what?"
🤦‍♂️
