What to do with a Keelback?

This (If you can be bothered to engineer the weapons.)
Or just do as the previous poster in chain suggested: fixed weapons on the keelback.
Make the keelback as tanky as possible and have a blast in a HazRes.
Great fun!
It's not a boring "I win" setup but you can take on anything thrown at you because of the SLF's OP weapons. :)

And here's a video wot I made celebrating the Keelback
If you enjoy the Keelback then fly the thing. A while back I was using a Federal Gunship in a HazRes with a SLF pilot on board. It was terrible at combat (although I hadn't done much engineering on it) but I had ranked up to unlock the thing and wanted something that would cater for a SLF as these had only just come out as a new feature in ED (well, it was some years ago). It was just a bit of fun to do something different. If I did that nowadays though I'd definitely have to finish engineering the Gunship first.

FWIW, my latest thought is that it might make a nice little "naughty ship" for visiting outposts and bothering megaships.

Good ship design. I would personally swap the rack to 32t and stick the shield in the size 4 slot. The loss to shields is miniscule compated to the gain in cargo.

Good point.

TBH, I was thinking that the sort of missions it'd be for usually only require delivery of up to 4t of stuff so a 4E cargo rack would suffice.
What I didn't consider was that I'm probably going to want to load up with as many limpets as possible in order to hack things and break hatches so a 5E cargo rack will be much more useful.

Also, handily, I have some 4A prismatic shields in a cupboard, somewhere, so I can bung them on if I need beefier shields.

So many men , so many minds I guess.
I love the Gunship in a CZ or HazRes, a bit of engineering, seven multicannons and an SLF is sheer fun imho, dakka dakka!!!!!!!

If only the Keelback's transponder could spoof being a T6 on long-distance radar, it would be an awesome Q-Ship!

In the same vein, the T-10's transponder should in some way (engineer, mission...) be hackable to appear on sensors as a T-9, only to reveal its true nature when in visible range.
