What to do with excess Exploration Data?

So I had a bunch of carto from a recent expedition to the rim and used it to:

Rank up to level 5 with Elvira
Rank up to 5 with Felicity.
Get Allied with Sirius to get my Sirius permit and access to Qwent
Rank up to 5 with Palin.
Rank up to 5 with Selene Jean
Get myself Allied with the Pilots Fed in Shinrarta.

Any idea what I should do with the rest?
As far as I can be bothered to check, I've got more than 500 systems of data remaining.

I would like to get allied with the Teaka Elite Altruist Baggers. (TEA Baggers) but not sure if they control a station.

The Baggers just recently took control of the system and a station, so you can hand it in there. tough as that will increase the influence of the Faction and we currently want to do the opposite not all baggers might be happy about it ^^

Like Bomba said, Dedekind City would be the place to sell for that goal. Given the size of the system I don't think 1 commander selling data would have a huge influence change and certainly not something that couldn't be counteracted quickly with a few UTF missions at least ...

Get Allied rep with the Sublime Order of Van Maanen's Star. That's where salvation will come from when      hits the fan. [up]

Most won't mind and the others... they'll get over it. I took a couple of T.E.A Bagging Co-op missions the other day by mistake (force of habit) and nobody was that bothered about it.

As my friend Kietrax says, we can run a few missions for UTF and Teaka Free to balance it out, and having another player allied with our faction is always a bonus when the shooting starts. :D

Since your goal is to increase your reputation with our faction, I think we'd be happy for you to hand it in to us at Dedekind. If you were already allied, we'd ask you to wait until the civil war is pending.

No, but it will get me very friendly very quickly. ;-) Then I can get better missions to get Allied

I clearly have no idea what is going on...
UTF was in charge when I first arrived there and then a civil war started... I saw Altruists at 66% at one point but then the war ended and Free were still in charge of the station.

Is there a (succinct) thread I can read that explains things?

Might be some stuff on the baggers thread in groups - not sure though. Basically we won the war and the system changed to our ownership before the CZs went away (Sunday tick just over a week ago as I recall). The bulk of the stations in the system are still controlled by UTF, but we got Dedekind City which is the biggest one, and hence control of the system. As a result of the war and subsequent mission running , we are in BOOM, UTF is still in Civil Unrest. I think our influence is around 60% or more, UTF are at 20-25%. To trigger another war and give us a shot at another station we need to equalise the influence, so in general, no Teabagger missions, but trade with and run missions for UTF & Teaka Free is the order of the day. Once we equalise and get pending Civil War again, then run missions like mad for the baggers so we enter the war with as big a lead as possible to help ensure a swift (3 day) victory :)

Roughly ... ;) Trent - jump in if I missed something :)

Depends how much you got I suppose - bring in a full load of something in high demand at Dedekind and sell after you sold the data will help too. The influence I was referring to was the faction influence in the system, not your reputation with the faction - 500 systems should do quite a lot for your rep. with the baggers I would have thought.

I think you covered everything. If GraXXoR (or anyone else) wants to do a few actions with our faction to get themselves allied then that will have a small impact on the BGS but with most of us working the other way things will keep moving in the right direction. Influence might just move a little bit more slowly but it's not a big deal if we take a day or two longer to get there.

As all teabaggers are equal and independent I can only speak for myself, but I would value having an extra ally more than an extra 0.1% influence boost. :)
