Speculating is a bad idea, it will raise peoples hopes and will cause rage on the forums if it is not the announcement they expected. Just be happy that there is something in the works, whatever it may be.

My trustworthy inside source tells me it's indeed the first alien race, although not Thargoids. According to FD, this new race is "the key to all of this". The source also managed to get a hold of a leaked concept art picutre.

2) No real dynamics for finding a mission bounty apart from fly to system and hope he flies past you
