It's a ship I designed for the Traveller tabletop RPG many many years ago. To complete the circle I got into Traveller because of Elite, which in itself was inspired by Traveller. Phew.

Read most of the Culture novels, which have such a rich and sometimes amusing naming convention. There was an old Amiga game that had a ship called 'The Mombassa Oak'. I've always liked that for some reason. You could call it simply 'Ship' I suppose.
