The only way to start: Launch without permission, turn around, shoot at the station and kill as many police vipers as I can, then restart 8)

will be spending alpha and beta doing the obvious, crashing while trying to dock mainly

once it is released, I will also try to get a couple of days off work, get a ton of munchies, coffee and beer and relive my childhood for a few days before it's back to work and just squeezing in the couple of hours of playing when possible.
while i have the option of starting with 4k credits and all that, I will most likely go for the pirate starter option and work my way up from there until I have some cash and go exploring

I'll be in the alpha, so the first thing I do is hope that it doesn't crash. If it works, I'll probably dance around my room for a minute or so. Then learn how to dock. And avoid accidental discharge. Probably die lots, as I fail both. It'll be great :D

Hopefully by the time the game releases, I'll be an old hand. Then I will revel in the manual, Dark Wheel follow-up, and all the books I backed :).

I still have no idea where I'll start my main character... I just know he'll be in a Cobra :D

I'm going to visit the Apollo 11 landing site, then the rings of Saturn before heading off to find my planet.

Edit: I'll pop past Io as well.

Yes, I like the sound of that too. Maybe scoot through the asteroid belt as well. Land on Io and watch Jupiter rise. Watch methane rain on Titan. All the good stuff. Oh yeah! No planetary landings. Io and Titan will have to wait. ;)

Scour the BBS to find someone who will pay me 50% upfront for an assassination job.
Then travel to the marks location, fail to even find them, and run off to the edges of the galaxy where my employer can't find me, and boast to all the frontier folk about being a hardened assassin while fitting a mining laser and shooting 'roids.

Can't wait! :D

Already posted about this in a pirate thread in another section of the forum.

During Alpah / Beta stress the game to see how far I can push it and ensure the response from it is not too unfair - whilst most people want to see the pirates die it has to be a balanced approach. All roles are viable, apparently, so I intend to test that.

Oh, and my first goal is to reach a 1 million credit bounty (if that's possible) - give all you budding bounty hunters something to aim at :D
