All That Glisters by David Massey is the original short story that introduced Jaques to the Elite universe.

Some facts about Jaques:

1. He is a bartender.
2. He is a cyborg.
3. Most of his parts aren't original but his original model is a Quinentis fourteen.
4. The Quinentis fourteen cyborgs fought on the side of the Federation at Hell's Gate.
5. He was drafted.
6. He failed his entrance physical prompting the Federation to convert him to a cyborg.
7. At the time that the Federation was churning out cyborgs the Empire was genetically altering its soldiers. Jaques thinks he got the better end.

Read the story. Maybe that will help inspire a good name.
