Whats left to do??

Hello CMDR'S, a year ago i set myself the goal of becoming elite and reaching the founders world, going to colonia and Sagittarius A, having the 3 big ships in my hanger (corvette, Cutter, Anaconda) so ranking up high with Empire & Feds and heavy modding these ships via engineers. i have just achieved all of these goals and have that game completed kind of feeling so need a new set of goals to work towards ..what is left worth seeing and doing?? (i've done mining, bounty hunting etc) i've not seen any of the Alien sites yet or even had a close encounter, is it worth checking out at this stage? ..thanks in advance for any suggestions CMDR'S and i will see you in the black o7

Most definitely worth checking out, done much exploration? I try to take a break from engineer and rep grinding and take a flight out in the black from time to time, it's nice, relaxing, and practically stress free. check out the alien ruins, try to solve some of the puzzles for yourself, if you can, some of them are pretty tough. It also helps a lot to join an active player group, join a discord server, and fly in a wing doing stuff. try your hand at the BGS and turn your home station into a war zone then back again just because you can lol

Find a world you like, proclaim yourself an ally of a certain low ranking faction of your liking and try to bring your guys to power.

go for combat, get better if you're not already good enough and prepare yourself for the Thargoids.

That's gonna be a helluva war :D

Always other ships to try. I've had the big three for over a year and just got an FDL recently. It's fun! I also still enjoy mission running in my Python.

As for something to do, why not do an Imperial (or Federation) good will tour? Find a cluster of systems that look good. Raise the all the Imperial factions (and maybe the others, save for criminal/anarchy) by bounty hunting. Then do missions for maximum $$$. As those missions take you to other nearby systems, note which ones will be easy to bounty hunt in, have a lot of Imperial factions, and seem to have good missions. Move your "task force" to that system and repeat the process. And again. And again.

I have sphere of at least 20 book marked systems where everyone (save the criminals) love me and I get high paying missions. And I keep discovering more and moving my task force to the new ones. My task force is either my Anaconda or Corvette, my Python, my FDL, and my DBX (or Cobra Mk III, etc, for just quick travel). Oh, and I do have an Orca and Dolphin I drag around too. If those maxed systems have good passenger missions, even more $$$.

In truth, I just like to do 3 things: Run lots of missions (it's fun to roam), bounty hunt, and explore the surface of planets for engineering mats. It gives me plenty to do.

And if it gets tedious, go play something else for awhile.

Anyway, just a suggestion....

One last bit: I'm enjoying the FDL because I can use it to hunt in systems that aren't as friendly (only small outposts, no planet bases) for the big ships. Also, bounty hunting in the FDL is a lot more exciting than it is in my Corvette.

Also, did I mention I like mentoring SLF pilots? I have one Elite and one Deadly (half-way to Elite) that I hired as Harmless. :D

Man, you must have been very busy. Congrats.

Do the alien ruins with as little guide use as possible. That would be my suggestion.

- Visist the alien ruins, do the mission perhaps.
- BGS: Find a system and faction you like, raise them to power. I must admit, I had far more motivation and fun to do all kinds of missions for "my faction" than just for the credits. Starting from the very first missions where I saved them from an Outbreak, over conflict zones missions where they battled another faction for control over the station... You should get a look at this stuff. That being said: I also lost motivation quickly after said faction expanded to another system, because then you'll have the same state transitions you'll be familiar with already. But hey, maybe that's your cup of tea. It's probably more fun if you find a player group for this activity if you are the social type.

i found myself in the same boat, initially decided to obtain as many system permits as possible, i mostly do this when the rep-systems are in boom or even better in war.

i'm very tempted to help the lizard guy out (he pulls off the sun glasses rather well) with the rare's liberation thing and as i've done Sag A, been to Colonia, blah, blah. I figured my time helping Lizard-man should be rather interesting (plus he reminds of an old TV show called "V").

In all serious-nis-nis, his plan's make sense and i'm all for trading in rares and love/hate the fact they can blocked/liberated, add's something to the game i guess.

WoW, thanks CMDRS, some stuff in there i haven't thought about ..clear save? Noooooooooo!!! LoL i couldn't do all that ranking again :D ..finding raxxla, has this not been found yet? has it been narrowed down to an area? ..i've thought about visiting the biggest stars like Betelgeuse, VY Canis Majoris etc, can you notice a size difference in game or do they look like every other star we jump in on? ..we should be a spec against these big boys ..BGS sounds interesting, will have to look into that too ..exploring wise ive done a big triangle so far, bubble to colonia to Sag A and straight line back to the bubble

VY Canis Majoris looks the same as any other star, until you realise that you are fuel scooping at about the distance that Jupiter is from the sun.

BGS sounds interesting, will have to look into that too
The BGS is quite addictive. Time consuming too, but you might need that.

I have one more suggestion. Find part of the game that few players delve into and research how it works. There is lots of scope for this in BGS mechanics. My personal area for research is mining for materials.
