I'm honestly not going to lose any sleep over Frontier having £1.75 of my cash waiting for me to spend.Yeah but they profit the whole meantime from hanging on to it from all their customers.

Filthy casual whale youI'm honestly not going to lose any sleep over Frontier having £1.75 of my cash waiting for me to spend.
I can remember going into local shops and buying gift tokens and I remember buying an iTunes gift card* fairly recently.Imagine buying something at your local grocery store and the shop keeps the change
Indeed, that's one of the things the system relies on.I'm honestly not going to lose any sleep over Frontier having £1.75 of my cash waiting for me to spend.
My first thought when I saw this post was "Hey stop saying heroin is bad, just have some heroin and chill, Man."
It's not "free" though, is it? I mean, think about it, if Frontier wanted to give you Arx for free, why is the "free" amount so tiny? 400/week? What can you get for 400? Answer: NOTHING ... why? Because they don't want to give it to you for free, they want you to get fed up of grinding it and buy it instead.
Stop being a whiteknight ... btw are you still a moderator? because at least that would explain it.
In company scrip only redeemable in their store? Sure.
I oppose it because it's a psychologically exploitive tactic meant to obfuscate your ability to judge the value of things while also forcing you to spend more money if you want cosmetics. Combined with the lovely new big blue button at stations , it also exaggerates some people's low impulse control. These things make it a predatory marketing tactic (the kind most often seen in Vegas).
Well, I'm glad to see we're not overreacting to this...![]()
The only significant change they've made is the virtual currency that now acts like a pre-paid bus card, and making the store access centralised (so no different ways to get at it when you want Holo-Me accessories as opped to an SRV skin). The store was always there. If you went to change the skin on your ship you also saw all the other skins that you could buy.Sorry was that meant to be a critique? Let me know part of my statement is up for debate. Happy to discuss.
What does matter to me is how Fdev cause grief

Honestly the only thing ticking me off is the blue button. Make it orange and I'll be happy. I'm not going to get the urge to press it and spend money all the time, and I frankly doubt others will either (to any significant degree). They're cosmetics, not loot boxes.I know the store was always there, its how the store is being presented that's the issue. All the changes from the recent patch are designed around deceptive 'free 2 play' practices meant to exploit human psychology. The old store, I liked.
Come on! It is a nice blue and the UI could use some shaking up with colour design.Honestly the only thing ticking me off is the blue button. Make it orange and I'll be happy. Le sigh. Its an ethnically questionable choice. I thought that they respected their player base more.
Le sigh.
