What's the easiest way to get Prismatic Shield Generator?

So I'm looking to grind for the PSG, but I've not done Power Play in a long time and I've got no idea on what to do for it and I want to get this done the easiest way possible. Anyone got any ideas on how to do that?

Pledge to Aisling Duval, do nothing for 4 weeks, then go to a rival's controlled system day before the system tic on Thursday (the exact time varies by time zone but the game time is the same around 1300), kill their operatives until you get 750 merit points before the tic.

Go to a Duval control system, cash in your merits, again before the tic.

You will be at level 3, buy all the Prismatics you want.

Wait till the next tic to leave Duval if you want so you can collect the Power payout.

Be aware you will collect wanted bounties for killing the NPC's, just pay them off at a low security system interstellar factor.

Or, as above, but instead of pew pew for merits, bring one Cutter load (750t) of stuff from Aislings headquaters to the nearest fortification(?) system on the day before the tick.

This is what I did for all my powerplay modules.
Easy as pie.

You lose the ability to buy them after you aren't pledged/ranked anymore, so buy what you'll need if you're not going to keep at it.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.

Aye.
Learn From My Fail - Don't unpledge until you buy everything you want, or you'll be re-grinding. ;)

I like the cargo run idea. But what is the 'tick'? And what cargo am I getting from Aislings HQ? And I'm also a bit lost on how-to tell what a Fortification system is.

The 'tick' is the powerplay cycle which starts each Thursday morning (game time). You need fortification cargo (something about 'fortification' is in the description) which you'll find sold by the power contact in the station contacts screen in the Cubeo system.

Plenty of systems you could go to. Best bet is to root around the powers menu in the right cockpit screen- look for control systems.

The downside to this is paying the fast track cost, if money is a factor for you. Otherwise you get 10t every 30 minutes or something? Unless this has changed recently? So it would take a while to build up your supply. If you just bought them regularly over the course of a week you'd probably do it with minimal fast-tracking.

Do I want to deliver the cargo to a place that has a low Fortification? To a place that is well below the Trigger? Or to a place that the Trigger has been reached at?

This is being a spoon. Have a look on the AD Reddits / Discords etc and see what needs doing.

If one doesn't care about PP, which seems to apply to the OP, that's a waste of time. Looking up what needs to be done and understanging PP mechanics probably takes longer than actually earning the necessary merits. I.e. shipping 750 tons of propaganda materials takes 10 minutes max, including the fast-tracking process.

Indeed. But taking a dump in someones game (even if its a minor) is poor form.

Not letting the OP know is also poor form, though. He asked a question and I answered it truthfully. It's up to him to decide wether he just wants to grab those modules or seriously participate in PP.

I understand why convinced PP players don't like it, but it's just the way it is.

wait 4(3) weeks or do whatever you like then transport propaganda materials is best option so far.

Do nothing for 3wks, on 4th week shoot 25 Couriers for 30merits/courier in Bunda and then cash them in in chosen pledges homeworld. Wait till wk4 ticks by, return to Jamesons and buy lots of Prismatics for storage. Bring money. Good luck.

btw Bi-weaves are probably better for most situations.
