What's The Mamba's niche?

I'm trying to fit one into my fleet and can't see where it fits in?

I already use, Viper, FDL, Krait, Asp, Python, Conda, Cutter, and Corvette, and each have a unique role for me.

How can I make use of a Mamba?

Well you have an extensive combat fleet, so there is not much the Mamba is going to do differently. Spent an hour in one tonight, A rated but not engineered except G3 DDT thrusters, all MC loadout. As usual the handling issues have been exaggerated, the ship is huge, but is quite nimble. Plan to use mine for assassinations.

Once the devs lower the temps a little, it will have 4 G5 Cascade launchers, and a huge Plasma. She is actually great fun to fly despite her size, I was wrecking NPC's with ease (yes I know it's not hard in any ship) due to the speed you can easily control the combat against those poor stock drive NPC's.

Will be nice to get it fully kitted on the live build.

Thanks Driver, maybe I'll loose an FDL and replace with this beauty.

Combat, definitely then man.

I keep going on about the same thing but I just flat-out don't like flying the FdL so if the Mamba was a viable alternative I'd be there like a rat up a drainpipe.

At the moment there's just no way anybody could justify swapping an FdL for a Mamba but with a bit of tweaking it could be in the same ballpark and then I'd take one over an FdL.

Thanks also. I don't have a lot of credits so I decided to get the Mamba to try her out instead of the Phantom. I'll get a Phantom to replace my exploraKrait when this version is released. The Mamba is so different looking and elegant imho. I had to try it out and so far I'm not disappointed.

I have three FDL with different loadouts in different places, I was thinking I could drop one and take the opportunity to git gud, with a weaker variant.

If it's getting cooler that is.

Thing with this ship, it's tempting to use plasmas and rails, which it won't sit with currently.

Same here, never liked the look sof the FDL I think it is the uglies ship in th egame together with its little brothers the Hauler and the Adder.. they all look the same and don't resemble a spaceship at all...
Furthermore I dislike its handling. Tried the Mamba yesterday and while I like the looks of it better than the FDls I am still no fan of the speedboat/podracer design for a spaceship! And just as with the FDLs handling, I have issues with the mambas handlings as well.
I tried the phantom also and felt right at home... feels great and looks way better in my personal opinion.
Phantom isn't gonna replace my Krait MK2 though as my main ship...

Kinda gets me worried about the Panther Clipper (Also Zorgon Peterson) Clearly a lot of time and effort has gone into the design of the ships, but there is just something about those designs that I don't like. The Mamba in VR feels like I am sitting in a Ferrari that is the size of an apartment building.

Re-heating pizza?

lol, reminded me of a story, many years ago.

I was working in a Central American republic which had "limited" food capabilities. Some colleagues blagged a weekend in Cancun and as I was the boss, I stayed and they went off to drink margaritas etc.

Good bunch, they bought a large meaty pizza and put on the Land Rover engine to keep it warm and drove back to a hungry boss who always smiles when he remembers the days.

sorry, on topic, I don't do beta (I prefer to see it in game) but surely the only question is how many utility slots?

The answer will come from that.
