What's with these "Crypsis" paint jobs?

Just seen these in the Store.

Anybody using one?
How do they work?

Not really suitable for any of my Pythons but I've got a couple of "shady" ships that would suit a paintjob that goes black in the dark and turns a bright colour in the light... if that's how they work. [where is it]

Yeah, I've been wondering this. If they "morph and shift in a mesmeric display" like what it says on the tin then that sounds cool. But if they just switch between day and night like what it shows in the store video then I'm not interested.

Agreed... I mean- all the paintjobs I've seen and I've bought so far are already turning darker when there's no light and brighter when lit...

Without wishing at all to be the slightest bit 'Sexist', this is one for the Lady Cmdrs amongst us. I mean 'Pink'? Come on. Does it come with matching Handbag and Shoes?

This is true, I suppose.

I kind of like the idea a paint job for my iffy Cobra, for example, which goes all dark and stealthy at times but then looks all bright and pristine when I'm trying to look respectable on the way into a station.

Wonder if they change colour when you deploy hardpoints, when you're under attack or just depending on the lighting?

I purchased the pink, and the green... err, and the yellow... for my 'Pink Panther' Python. (Desert Sand paint shown)

I've not been scanned once since applying the crypsis-pink*...

* This may well be a complete lie

Worst case just film it with your phone (or can you describe it?). I just have no idea how that paintjob actually behaves.
