Horizons When are the Interdictions getting fixed?

Every play session currently for myself is plagued with extremely aggressive NPC interdictions.
I had a quick session trying to setup EdDiscovery so was doing a few smal hops.

1. Not in powerplay
2. No bounty in any system
3. No cargo
4. No active missions
5. Federation system of which I'm best buds with

I am scooping up fuel and the message appears, you know " I'm coming to get you blah blah".
Check radar nothing there with that pilots name!
I finish scooping and set course for my next system and instantly interdicted by the target which magically appears on the radar.
Luckily I manage to evade what turned out to be a FAS in my jack off all trades AspE but only after of course losing my shield and getting chewed into hull.

Now this wasn't a paticularly bad one as there were no chain interdicts or cargo involved but the invisible radar and instant drop are 2 of the buggiest things we have to deal with and they have been around forever now.

Do this team have any intention/ability to sort the interdictions?

In such cases I relog to menu and back straight after fuel scoop goes off. I've seen such interdictions, and they can end really bad - you can drop so close to the star you'll get roasted when you'll activate FSD.

Its not a bug because it is reproducable and intended. Just poor design. So no bug report ;)

OP thinks it's a bug so he should submit it as a bug report (if he wants to get it fixed). It doesn't matter if you think this is bad game design rather than a bug, only FDEV knows that.

It's not a bug... Just a pointless game mechanic. Happens to me all the time. The fix yesterday did nothing to lower the rate of interdictions but made them tolerable because they were not elite. In my 1.5 hour session last night I got interdicted twice in a high security system with no cargo, no bounties, no missions and I don't do Power Play. Mind you, the bulk of my game play last night was in an anarchy system looking for chemical processors in USS and never got interdicted there!
Pre 2.1 I ran with all kinds of cargo and rarely got interdicted. Now, it happens almost every night and generally multiple times, the bulk of which I'm not carrying cargo or doing missions and my standing with the system I'm with is fairly low so why? It's not a bug... Just a stupid game mechanic, like, "well, I can't figure out anything else for you to do or any other game play items so here's a bunch of interdictions to occupy your time".

I agree! The more bug reports about all the various problems with Interdictions, the more attention the problem will receive and continue to receive.

I'm currently not experiencing any of these chronic interdiction swarms, but I have in the past. But in my case, they were always brought about by having a bounty on me somewhere in the game. Still over the top in terms of any semblance of realism/immersion though.

The OP can always post the bug report as related to the long running BUG with submitting to the attempt yet still failing the Interdiction with the "FSD Failure" message and the insufferably LONG FSD cool down period!

Despite the fact that I nearly always submit to any interdiction attempt within seconds of being hit, I still get nailed by this bug a good 75% of the time since the 2.1 update and subsequent point updates. Some claim that this is normal and that the player is simply not submitting fast enough. Well... You can't submit any faster than immediately can you?

Nahh... This is definitely a bug and it is upsetting to me that we are still being forced to deal with it. And ALL the other interdiction bugs for that matter! Why can't FD make this a high priority, put their best team on the problem and get it all fixed once and for all?

I get this too all the time. I am clean too. It does not matter if you have cargo or missions or nothing at all. On and on and on until I quite the game. Could ED just happen to be the most buggy game ever made?

I definitely believe it is not a bug. I was interdicted multiple times by NPCs ( more than 2 times on each approach ) , after shutting down FSD, with the port in sight, while asking for landing permission. I have gotten so irritated that I just ESC to the main menu and restart rather than put up with it. I do not mind a fight, but this is nothing more than harassment that is killing game play, not to mention the poor new guy in a Sidewinder trying to learn. The same thing happens as soon as I leave the docking. The NPCs just swarm me like mosquitoes on blood bank. Many time, I just restart in order to get a fair chance, and get rid of a screen flashing with triangles.
1. No bounty or fines in any system
2. No cargo
3. No active missions
4. Not an enemy of any faction anywhere
Why make a game that sets you up to be attacked. I do not mind a fight now and then, but sometimes you just want to enjoy the game, learn new things, all without being harassed. If I want a fight, I know where high conflict zones are, and know how to start them. If I start or engage in a fight, by all means blow me into the next galaxy if you can, but otherwise leave me to my game. If this continues, Star Citizen is gonna clean their clock, even unfinished.

I definitely believe it is not a bug.

Was this ^ a typo?

Your entire post after the above sentence is pointing out many of the reasons why the majority of the ED community consider that this IS A BUG! ?? [wacky]

Just a tip: When you submit keep fighting the interdiction. It takes something like 10-15 seconds, if the NPC wins during this time you fail and it gets handled like you didn't submit at all.

You are getting interdicted after leaving SC and asking for landing permission? So you get interdicted in normal space? That's definetely a bug.

No, it is normal now. Had this often in the days after 2.1. You are not interdicted in normal space but the interdictor low waked to you. Try the following: If you got a message from a interdictor in Com, reduce your speed an leave Frameshift before he interdicts you. Wait a few seconds. I think the time depends on the distance of the interdictor to you. The Interdictor will low wake to you then. I was followed by interdictors to stations often in the last time. A few days ago I was interdicted by two Condas at once. I low waked. A few seconds later the two Anacondas dropped out of SC in front of me. One right and the other left. :-(

What's wrong with that? People asked for persistant NPCs so having them follow you when you are doing nothing to get rid of them seems right.
