When can we expect performance optimizations?

I mean everything looks nice and stuff, but it's hardly playable at those FPS rates... even lowering the quality settings doesn't do much.

Guess I won't play, until this gets improved.

Oh, I'm playing on an i7 3,5GHz with an RTX 2080.

I'm expecting a reasonable degree of optimization in 3-4 months, but it won't be ready to clients merge and console before early 2022

I dunno what issues many players have with their fps. I have an RTX 2070 super only and run Odyssey with 120 fps in full HD in most scenes. Only a few surface locations drop to 75 fps or something.

Could you please show us your graphic settings ? I run an RTX 3070 with and AMD Ryzen 7 and having all set to high I barely run to 60fps while in stations, which is pretty low when you have a 165hz display for example :(

When I took the screenshots the fps were lower because I had a video encoding session running in the background. I think the Horizons performance was similar. :)

I'm using a RTX 2070 Super, I have the graphics setting set to "High", and resolution set to 2560 x 1440 (I have 4k monitor).

I track my frame rate over longer periods using Razer Cortex, and my average frame rate is 57 fps over a period of 10 hours, 45 minutes and 12 seconds. What causes a big performance hit is fire in buildings. My minimum frame rate is 27 fps due to exactly this.

It feels to me like the game is putting out 60fps almost all the time (max refresh on this monitor), and the performance hit of burning buildings that is causing that drop to 57 average.

I have a number of issues with Odyssey, but performance isn't one of them. Please don't interpret that as me dismissing problems other people encounter - just want to say, its working very well for me with absolutely no tweaking or messing about.

Please look into the NVIDIA settings too. It offers own settings for vsync on and limit the fps. Maybe its limited right there.

I love to play all my games at high frames (144Hz/fps). I bought a high end PC (RTX 3090, 5900x soon) to get it work. With Odyssey it isnt possible... really sad and im disappointed...
