When I duplicate an item and place it, give me another duplication

So when you place items from the menu it gives you another one to place which is extremely handy for detailing, but if i find the item i want and duplicate it, it only gives me that ONE duplication. this becomes annoying when you are using the percise controll widgets and want things to be perfectly places but you have to reselect and replace the item again after duplicating.

agree, this is a time-burner. ALSO (or instead), an option to click an item and click a button to go direct to that item in the menu.

As far as I know, the duplicate option gives you the next item as well, as long as it was a single item that you duplicated. If you selected and duplicated multiple items, you're right, then it doesn't give you the next items ready to place again. But the selection of the items you just placed stays, so you can just hit CTRL + D again to get the next set without needing to select items again (which can be a real pain sometimes).

The same thing is true for the advanced placement I think. Select one item and hit CTRL + X and it keeps giving you the item to place. Select multiple items and hit CTRL + X and it doesn't, but the placed items stay selected again so you can just hit CTRL + X again for the same selection in the exact same place as the previous placed items.

It could do with some streamlining so that the behavior is more consistent, and doesn't do two different things for the same action depending on how you initialize it.

unfortunately it doesn't, duplicating a single item only gives you ONE of that item.

Maybe we're talking about two different things, because I just tried it and it works for me:

Is this what you mean?

Yea I just realized I was wrong the way i was explaining it. let me make a video but TLDR would be, I want to be able to duplicate a selection WHILE in widget mode.
