When the heck did they add a camera torch?

I was looking through the shortcut keys seeing if there was one for multi-select tool and I came across "Camera Torch", L key. So I hit L and a lo and behold a light emits around my area. WUT?! When was this added? How late am I to this party? I did a forum search and didn't see any talk of it.

I've never ever pressed the key L in planet coaster (only for names then).

I like it when non-announced features are in the game. But I don't like the idea of searching for them ourselves.

I recently build my mine train ride and made it run through my lake. It actually makes a splash effect when diving into the water, without the need of VFX. It probably was in there a long time but never noticed until recently.....

Wow, is that a thing. Did not know it was implemented. I know there were discussions about a feature like that to help build under ground instead of placing a ton of lamps. Wonder what else is in the game we don't know about?

I had that too, but without running through a lake, but closely under a lake. I had a small pond beneath my Zyklon Coaster, and while building it, i had to experiment a bit with the constantly wider rings of loops, while building above the pond. One approach included a tunnel under that pond, and the coaster tracks coming out of the ground nearby. That produced a splashing sound and a splash animation inside the ground.

THIS! Glad we've got the features, don't wanna spoil for people who like finding out as part of gameplay, but a lot of us want it in the currently non-existent manual! [sulk] There's gotta be a happy medium somewhere.

Pretty sure it was in the release notes of the last update.

[edit] nope it wasn't in the notes. It was stated somewhere though, but apparently not in an obvious place.

awesome, it will be a lot easier for me now to create the inside of the mountain from erebor of the hobbit.[happy]

And I thought it was some useless "toggle lightning quality"-feature as i pressed L unintentionally during bright sunshine. All i got was light flickering. [wacky]

That has been in since well, at least since launch, but I think even the alphas...
Annoyingly they don't splash when *in* the water, but when *near* the water.
Had a wooden coaster in a tunnel splash randomly at the time, sigh...

This was requested many times, I recall threads from 2016 asking for a work light or camera light. Finally they've added it but then don't tell us about it?

How does a new and requested feature make it to production without any mention in release notes?

I had no idea.

Seems like Frontier have an issue of overview all Changes and additional features they put in when they forgets to tell us about themj. [mouth shut]

No, they think the community enjoys themselves finding out if something is fixed, needs to be fixed or has been added. [mouth shut]

Hi everyone,

Sorry we forgot to mention this in the patch notes. It's very hard to track the thousands of changes that go into a major release of Planet Coaster. We do our best to detail changes in the patch notes, but sometimes things will slip through.

Cheers

Andy

Thank you AndyC.
Remember folks, Frontier Staff are people too. They aren't perfect, and they sometimes make mistakes or forget things just like us.
