When will the new ships come out?

They seemed to strongly imply the delivery of the PMk2 was dependent on the resolution of the Titan situation.
They also said the ships would be coming throughout the year so I'd not expect more than 1 per quarter.

If I understood the livestream correctly the Python 2 will arrive between U18 and U19 (due ‘summer’).
The way I understood Zac was that the release of the P2 is tied to "the narrative" and the "special ability" of the P2, so I also think it is a fair assumption that the P2 will come at a certain point during the "culmination" of the Thargoid war, and not as late as U19 for Power Play 2.0.
Are you assuming the narrative stops at the end of the war? Maybe the P2 will be needed to chase the Thargoids to their homeworlds and continue the fight after they retreat, which I would expect to be part of update 19 with the P2 to follow?

. I am guessing the "war narrative", as in goids-invading-the-bubble will come to some form of conclusion (with my speculation being that Titans will become frequent visitors and a permanent part of life around the bubble). Where this leads from there I don't know, but the way Zac phrased it sounded to me as if the Python II will play a role in bringing this part of the war narrative to the conclusion. At the end of yesterdays stream it seemed to me that he wanted to make it clear that the Python would come between now and before U19.What comes next? No idea. We still have that Salvation / Nemesis thing to continue, and maybe, with PP 2.0 coming, the political structure of the bubble will take over as the "main narrative". Nobody knows. Well, Frontier knows. Hopefully.
Update 19 (Powerplay 2.0) will be released in Summer 2024 which means we'd have to wait till June. So I think the Python mk2 will be released earlier.

Not necessarily. It could release a bit earlier even if it's meant to fulfill its true purpose only after U19 comes along.
Apparently, the Python Mk 2.0 will be release Before Powerplay 2.0.
Which goes from June to September - (although midsummer's day is 21st June, which happens to be the day after the official start of Summer
)
Lets be honest; if FD said the Python Mk 2 was released as soon as all Titans were destroyed, the Thargoids would be killed so hard and so quickly it would erase them from the timeline in a few days.
And within an hour of it happening the forum would be flooded with "Where's my Python Mk.2???" posts.

Well lets face it, if it's designed to be good at one single function then it will indeed suck at everything else. The old Python, jack of all trades, master of none, the new Python, master of one trade, sucks at everything else!
Mmm, current Python is the best M pad trader. If the PMk2 ends up being the best M pad combat ship then Faulcon Delacy will corner the market. Time to increase your share holding.
I'm expecting plenty of these. FDev made a bit of a balls up with the vid they showed. The manoeuvrability of the Python Mk.2 in that vid has it rivalling an Eagle... so when it is added and the ship's acceleration, agility and top speed have been set, loads of people will be complaining about how it's nothing like it was in the preview vid.... because they will all have ignored the "WORK IN PROGRESS ASSETS" text that is on screen throughout the entire thing.And then the ship sucks!
Which vid is that? All I saw was a ship parked in a hangar.
