Where are good paying passenger missions?

I've bought a Cutter, but in order to have a decent loadout I need to grind many, many credits. I've heard that passenger missions are the best missions for that purpose, but what are my best options? I'm currently peddling bulk passengers from Rhea to LQ Hydrea, but the missions don't pop up very often. Usually just 5-6 missions spread across open/private and solo. I don't know if getting allied with all factions will increase this, but earning money this way is kinda slow. Are there better options or is Rhea one of the better? I'm flying an Anaconda with 184 passenger capability btw.

afraid you get the better ones when fully allied. Also just search on eddb.io at stations for "max distance to arrival" search the surrounding systems for missions to the destination.
Then the credit rol in. Must say i haven't done this myself bcs i don't want to look at the screen for 90 minutes. but to each their own.

Edit: I like the cargo missions in my cutter. Its not passengers but the SC time is way shorter. A good place for those is: Kamadhenu. depends on the states of the surrounding systems but usually missions from 1 mil till 5m(those i find not so much) for hauling 120 to 180 cargo. but with stacking in the cutter its a nice sum of credits. I found that for 4 weeks now the cargo missions keep coming, only to different surrounding systems. Its for me the only system i have seen the has those constantly. ( i'm allied and elite trade). Stacking those nets me a nice sum , quickly to do and also keeps me engaged with interdictions with NPCs

happy flying

Wherever you are.

As jijik2 said, it's more about being allied to local factions than any specific location in the bubble. Broadly, the higher your ranking is with a faction, the better paying all the missions you get offered by them.

If you're set on doing long distance passenger missions I'd strongly suggest getting a good book to read - they get very dull very quickly.

The missions I currently get are paying 1 to 5 million for a 13.3ly jump and 14,000ls in Supercruise. Not bad I would say, but I've read about Quince before being nerfed and hoped there was an alternative found.

Upsilon Aquarii Allen Hub to Smeaton Orbital bulk passenger economy missions only. As said, get allied as best you can first. Not many missions per board but you can pull in 50-100million per run in a conda. Each 1.8M ls journey takes about 40 mins, so about an hour / hour half per overall trip which isn't too bad.

Those are good numbers to me, just stack and quickly be at destination. better than hour flying without anything to do. :)

Build rep! I am allied with Feds and my local faction and payouts are massive now.

Doesn't take a lot of work to build rep either.

Al quam system
Ore Al qaum.

Passengers ho want to go to geras system pay up to 20 mil
Stock them and fly whit 50 ore 60 mil
Down side is 20 to 25 min sc.

Yep, as has been said, the best passenger missions are where ever you're reputation is the best.
They can also be good for building rep.

Quince was one of those things that wasn't supposed to happen - you were never meant to be able to "shortcut" the missions by taking passengers to the wrong place and get credit for it.

Imagine hiring a taxi driver to take you to the airport, but they took you to the landfill instead. Hence, Quince is no more.

Anytime anything like this is found, and even more so, posted about here, it will be killed off.

There's plenty of money to be made from passenger missions, but as said above, you do need to be allied to get the highest paying ones:

I'm allied at Wu Guinagi and do 10-12M single sight seeing missions within the bubble. No risk, no hours of stacking, no big-three needed but just a 5M credit dolphin.

I have a cutter and ive been slowly furnishing it over 7 months now. Feels like a big house that im gradually renovating. Each major upgrade milestone feels like a small victory.

I honestly feel that rushing your upgrade work to get A class in days is causing you to miss some enjoyable gameplay.

but hey.

The way I set myself up is by going on one of those short explorer missions, like 1000ly to 2000ly max to scan data. The mission itself only payed about 10 million, but I honked every system on the way and scanned anything valuable that came up. The entire trip there and back took about 3 to 4 hrs of playtime with scanning(ensure you have at least an advanced scanner fitted). When I got back to my "home" system I divied up the the sale of exploration data among the stations with different factions in charge and easily became allied or at least friendly with 4 factions.

Now I take those cruise missions for like 5 to 10 million a pop in my 45ly ASPx and it's cake even if there are three stops. Grade 6 fuel scoop makes it even faster and I use the grade 5 slot for whatever cabin I need. A Dolphin is also great at this and a joy to fly plus it's got that genuine cruise ship look and can take a luxury cabin to boot. It's pretty cheap to buy and set up a dolphin with the money you would get from selling the exploration data.

OP, Actually I see you've got an Anaconda now. With an Anaconda, just engineer up your FSD to max and load up on cruise ship missions once you are allied. With the high jump range it will be cake to jump around and make 50 million easy per trip. 1 hr tops if you take 3 to 4 cruise trips. Look for trips that go to the same locations too, that will make it even faster. Are the missions dull? Yes. Is it easy money? Yes. Once you do this you will always have that money making system at your disposal. I have two, Lembava and Diagundurii. I can make millions per hour just flying my ASP with one cruise mission at a time, but you can easily make way more in an Anaconda.

Take an AspX to Allen Hub at Upsilon and level up all the factions to allied. At least 4/5 by running boom data missions etc. Once allied bring your cutter loaded with economy cabins only. Then stack passenger missions to LTT 9360 Smeaton Station. Its a 40min supercruise. It may help, I dunno, if you are already Elite. But you soon will be if you keep running them.

It can get dull very quickly but it is a good way to make money. But it is dull.

So just to do it, I took my Orca to a system that was new to me - Neutral with every faction there.
I have 3 cabins on my Orca - a Luxury cabin, a First Class Cabin and a Business Class cabin.

I took a look down the list of passenger missions - not that many, mostly bulk passengers wanting to go places within one jump, two at the most.
I filled up what I could, dropped them off where they wanted to be, and managed to pick up a couple more passengers wanting to go whence I came.
No problem.

A couple of these, and I started seeing VIP's - at first offering 1.2-2.3 mil to be ferried about, mostly to local sites - that is, within 3 jumps.
I started taking these on, 3 at a time, jumping from site to site, based on whichever site was closest to me.

Before long I was allied with a few of these factions, and the payouts were just getting better... 3.2m, 4.5m up to 10m
Pick my passengers, plot my course, and the furthest trip I made was just short of 300ly - 9 jumps for me.

A couple lazy evenings later, I'm 100m credits richer. And that's about all there really is to make passengers profitable - plain persistence.

It is dull ... so do something else?

Bring back whatever new exploit* gets all the kiddies off ma' lawn and stops them from messing with something they don't understand. Unfortunately tenthousands of wannabebillionaires messing with something they don't understand are more than any playerfaction can handle, so all we (and the poor Black Birds at the receiving end in Smeaton) can do is some kind of damage control, still get into senseless wars and lose influence everywhere, even if we go all in. Which, btw, is dull, but unfortunately we don't have the choice to do something else, unless we want to lose our systems.

#grumpyCraithisgrumpy #kidsthesedays #istillblametj

*please no, no new exploits.

Find a couple of relatively isolated systems at the edge of the bubble who have established a fairly exclusive trading relationship. You can do this by data-mining EDD or EDSM and then cruising around and examining the various candidate systems you have identified.

BTW - I'm making more money in my Anaconda (A-Rated) for pass missions then my Cutter (A-Rated). My Beluga (A-Rated) earns even less than both of those... (Maybe cause I outfit an SLF bay to easily dispatch any bothersome NPC's)

Like someone said, Allen Hub to Smeaton. You need to be allied to get a full ship in a reasonable amount of time, else you'll see the 30+ million Cr offerings under "Requirements Not Met" for some factions.

You can get the lower factions to allied status in other systems where they are in control by turning in bonds or bounties, or exploration data. They also offer missions like data runs to Smeaton for a couple million each.

You can use an anaconda with 192 seats and make up to 230m per run or use the Python that will land on outposts as well, probably fill your seats faster and make up to 175m or so per run. I only take bulk passengers, no crowns, unless I have an empty cabin and I am about to set off, at which time it's first come first serve.

Can you make money anywhere else hauling passengers? Sure, but probably not like this.
