The amount of people not reading the thread but jumping right in and yell "If need to buy it on discount you're not ready to own it!" is too damn high.
Also, those people don't seem to be the experts they make themselves out to be. As mentioned earlier, the discount applies to any future rebuys as well... So OP asks a smart and legitimate question.

I got two corvettes last night from the Ralphus station in the Momus Reach system for the low low price of around 101 million credits.
