Where did I get these fines?

I have 6252626 fines e, mostly from the docking computer smashing into space stations. I have watched 285000 videos on how to pay a fine and yet I still have all the fines the first 80000 videos sad you can simply pay the fine at the same station you attracted the fine but none of my fines say where I was when attracted the fine. the other 200000 videos say you can pay any fine if you don't mind paying an extra 10% however 280000 years later I still can't find where to pay the fines
I'm guessing the tutorial on paying fines is about 238 hours so I'll try and make the question shorter. how can I tell WHERE I attracted the fine by looking AT THE FINE

Yep Interstellar Factor (IFs) pay them all in one go... from the contacts menu at stations
but there are sites that list the factions and what systems and stations they own this is were they would have issued the fines... and the faction would allow you to pay it there any way at any of there stations...
Ay indi is in the Ay indi system... most factions name includes the system name in this case "ay indi" limited...

PS Console and PCs have screen grab software built in so it avoids blurry hard to read photos uploads that make it harder to read...

Where are interstellar factors?? That's what it says on each other fines but you think it could just give you a link straight there but it doesn't and I've watched a YouTube video on it that says you got a fly half way through the universe to find it so and I still couldn't find it
Go to Interstellar Factors and pay them all off at once. You don't need to go to each one, which in turn negates the need to actually figure that out.

I know you're new OP, but you clearly have internet....

Best bet is low security systems.

Use this link to find the nearest station with Interstellar Factors:

(Put your current location in "Search near star system")

Dock at the station, then go to Station Services > Contacts > Interstellar Factors and you'll be able to pay off all your fines

HTH

Or use inara.cz nearest function...

In the galaxy map in game.
type in ay indi
hit enter...
jump back to the sytem
Land at Farkas Dock. select. station functions
move to the left of station menu
tab labeled "contacts" select it..
now in this tab are two boxes with Interstellar Factors label on them you want the one on the left... the other is for conflict bonds you don't want that...
you want the left one for fines and bounties... now that you hae paided of external fines you want to pay of in current system fines with Authority contacts ...

Once you've paid off your outstanding fines, a bit of advice. Whenever you get fined, pay it off at the station it was incurred straightaway, even if it means heading back into the station after leaving. You will have 'Anonymous Access' and most services won't be available. Go to the Station Services and click on the Contacts there (not left panel), then the Authority Contact. Pay the fine and everything opens up again. Continue whatever you were doing and fly safe! :)

After reading "Comments" on some of the question asked by new player in Elite Dangerous I am wondering if I paid for the right game!
Why are you making fun of someone asking a question about a game that has NO Manuel on how to play it? No goal, no way to win it and thousands of youtube vids that are from the games past! You don't think it could be Fing confusing to some?
I've been reading comments like these all day today- pathetic.

Take a look at his other posts ..... ;) All may not be as it seems.

To answer the OP's question directly (and trying hard to ignore the sub-infinite exaggeration in the OP's post):

It doesn't tell you exactly where you earned the fine, because fines apply to factions, not star systems. A faction might be present in dozens of star systems, and you can pay that fine in any one of those. Or they might be present in just one.

It's true, the game could be more useful in helping you locate specific factions. Having a "faction map" on the galaxy map would be darn helpful, not only in finding fine-sources, but in monitoring the spread of influence of "your" faction, or "enemy" factions, for those who care about the BGS. But we don't have that, so there's no point crying over eggs that haven't hatched yet.

To find factions, it's currently easiest and most helpful if you use external sites. I find INARA.cz most useful for locating factions - you can simply search for the faction and it gives you a list of all the systems they are present in, and where they have a controlling influence over a system or station.

For the precise four examples given in the OP's screenshot:
  • The Pilots Federation Administration owns "Newbie space", and nowhere else. If your Newbie Space permit has been revoked (which I assume it has by now), you can't go there to pay those fines. Your only option to get rid of those fines is the Interstellar Factor.
  • Ehecatl Free is, obviously, found in the Ehecatl system where it controls most of the stations. It is also found in Fjorgyn, Hollatja and LTT 8456.
  • The Pilots Federation Local Branch owns the "protected" system of Shinrarta Dezhra. They also own numerous stations in several systems throughout "old newbie space", including Asellus Pimus, LHS 3447 and Eravate. They also own numerous rescue ships in Thargoid-attacked systems.
  • AY Indi Limited is, naturally, based in the AY Indi system where they are currently the controlling faction. They are not present in any other star system.

The PFLB are also present in AY Indi, so you can "kill two birds with one stone" by going there and paying off both your PFLB fine and your AYIL fine.
