Where is Betelgeuse located in the ED universe?

Tried searching for her, but just cant seem to find her....

Or even better VY Canis Majoris?

Im on a quest....to see BIG STARS :) if you couldn't tell.

Ya...looked it up on Wikipedia and tried the names there. I know its in the right shoulder of Orion.... still no love.

Nearest star looks to be Synuefe JR-K b28-1

I did a search for Betelgeuse about 2 months ago and it popped right up.
It was my first exploration trip outside the bubble, made it there and back in an Adder.

Edit: I just plugged Betelgeuse into the nav computer. It is also marked as a point of interest from some distance away in the glaxy map, like the nebulae are.

It's definitely there, it was the destination of my first exploration trip! It's always the first thing I look at when I look at the nights sky in the hope of it going supernova!

If you haven't got a big jump range (I did it in a low-rated Sidewinder) make sure you keep your fuel tank topped up as there are lots of unscoopable brown dwarves on the way.
