Newcomer / Intro Where to find combat zones?

I have a combat ready eagle now. But I can't find any combat zones. I found a thread mentioning Eranin, but I didn't find any there.

Where are the combat zones?

Hi DDR,

Combat zones eh! Try: Nav Beacons and Mining Extraction Sites (around ringed planets although not icy rings). Dogfighting in mining extraction sites is great fun. Just watch out for trigger happy feds (one stray shot from your guns and you will have to bug out and pay the fine) and asteroids!

Follow the newsfeeds (GalNet) in stations. There are conflicts mentioned there. Sorbago is a system that has several warzones and even capital ships flying around. It's quite a bit away from the starter systems though. You should also find conflict zones in other systems where two factions are fighting for power.

Oh...and if you go to Sorbago and a player hails you asking which side you are working for your best bet is to say Empire...
