Newcomer / Intro Where to Sell (Help Please)

Hi all

I hope you can help me with pointing me in the right direction.

The last time I played was quite some time ago and I decided to come back and do some leisurely mining for Platinum and Monizte and LTD.

When I have come to sell there seems to be a lot of information where to go but when I get there the prices are not what it says on Inara or EDminers site.

Am I missing a trick here, is there a way to see where I can get the best price?

You might be falling foul of the "bulk tax" - a rather clumsy attempt by FDEV to incorporate some demand-side-pricing.

If you look on the INARA list of places and prices you will see a column called "demand" (note the figures in red) - when you mouse-over those figures it tells you what amount of the stuff you have in your hold that will cause the price to be drastically lower. (Bear in mind the age of the data too.)

The other thing you may stumble over could be the age of the information. Very high prices are short lived - especially so once they're reported in EDDB/Inara.

If you are playing Horizons 3.8 "legacy" (e.g. not playing on a PC or Steamdeck) none of the 3rd party websites will work for you.
They only work with Horizons 4.0 "live" and Odyssey.
