Where to submit support ticket requesting a minor change to my CMDR?

I have seen mention that FD will occasionally make manual edits to your CMDR in certain circumstances, such as a bug causing the loss of your ship or credits. My issue is not nearly that serious, but it's a problem that I've had since literally before I flew my first Sidewinder in the tutorial.

During character creation, I capitalized the first letter of the first name but noticed that on-screen all characters were rendered uppercase. So I thought it didn't matter and that I would be 'JEROME GARCIA' no matter the case of what I typed. So I didn't capitalize my last name. It turns out that, in spite of the fact that the screen displays all characters uppercase, the values are actually saved how you type them. Thus, faction representatives galaxy-wide say stuff to me like, "Great to see you again, Jerome garcia." I know it's silly and unimportant, but it drives me nuts. Jerry Garcia is my greatest rock n roll hero, and I don't want his name to look wrong.

If I were to enter a ticket requesting FD to capitalize the first letter of 'Garcia', do you think they would? If so, where would I submit such a request?

Oof, that's not a minor request, you can only change names when you reset your character, you lose everything, that's how big a thing it is!

Whether they can just change a character from lower case to upper case depends on whether your system and planet tags are sensitive to the change. It may be that they aren't and it's just a display thing in which case you may be in luck, but star names are character dependent despite what the galaxy map does when entering a star name, so it could be a big change.

i have heard sometime ago, that FD makes exceptions sometimes if you want the squadron initals placed into the cmdr name.

So exceptions can happen, spelling mistakes could be a reason. try it.

simple renaming, they don't do.

My brother has worked in Customer Care/Support for various retailers for years.
Let me tell you, those guys and girls are always happy to help if they can provided you’re polite, respectful and have all your relevant details at hand.

The best thing you can do is explain your situation and be nice about it.

It never hurts to ask 👍

I've had my name changed in game via support in the past (2016), just don't ask too many times...

"If you need to change your name for a specific reason please submit a ticket to the Customer Support team by clicking the button below with the reason for your request and a shortlist of your preferred options in your preferred order.

Please be aware that these changes are limited and should only be requested under special circumstances.
Repeated name change requests may result in your existing name being locked in place, with no option to adjust it in the future.

We do not rename CMDRs for clan purposes."

I've had same problem (all caps resulting in all low caps) asked for a CMDR name change and it was done within a week or so.

I'm 100% confident OP that if you put in a request they'll accomodate (my alt account has a similar problem so I understand how annoying that can be - I'm half tempted to reset my alt as it's not that advanced and I'm already tired of the name I've given it, anyways).

I raised a ticket years back when I wanted to change my CMDR name from something stupid nondescript (akin to an ID number) into something more meaningful, raised a ticket giving 3 preferred options, and they picked the one I have now as the others were already taken.

Frontier support is very good and helpful like that.
