Where will I find the enemy?

Trying to do a powerplay task where I have to eliminate enemy in the Mecht system.
Where do I have to go to find them?
Do I have to pull them out of supercruise? Are the located near signal sources or conflict zones?
Can't find the little so and sos anywhere. Plenty of pirates and ships from my own power.
Do I have to do it in multi player mode rather than solo?

Hi Ultra Fluffy,

A good habit is to scan the nav beacon when hunting. Once scanned look among navigation targets for signal sources including the word "Power" and drop in there. Sometimes there are no targets, sometimes they're friendlies or they're enemies or both. Always there are a few things to scoop and hand in to the local powers contact. I don't think it matters which mode you are playing in.. happy hunting!
