Where's the 2001 Pteranodon?

In the pre-order trailer, the first animal seen in the game is the JP3 Pteranodon model. Because the Pteranodon Species Field Guide was already uploaded at this time showing its JW model, it's naturally reasonable to assume that both model variants would be in the game. This was a feature introduced with RtJP in JWE1, so it could definitely be expanded to Pteranodon with the sequel.

However, none of the pre-release reviewers actually found the ability to make JP3 Pteranodon. What happened? If it was cut from the game, why? Every other legacy model stayed in (even if some like the female JP3 Velociraptor are a bit unfinished).

If the video said alpha/beta whatever they are legally in right. As its a skin i can imagine its a bug like with the female JP3 Raptor. If it is a bug. If not only they know or developing was hell for whatever reason and its an oversight. Who knows. You wont get an answer tho lol. But im fairly positive they will bring them back in future.

It really isn’t almost all Games do this. I don’t like it either but i can’t change it so its not worth to be angry about it. But im sure they bring it in. People judge way to fast, games are buggy on release. We don’t know whats in the day 1 patch. We don’t know if some dinosaurs or skins are hidden unlocks like the memos in jwe . I would wait til launch before giving feedback. Everything else is a waste of time. Unless it’s something gamebreaking which i don’t saw yet. So nothing major.
You only saw footage from youtuber who blasted through it for videos. I mean people think animals are missing animations they aren’t. They are just not as common and mixed up.

The JP era has a sign for flyers, but doesn't have aviaries, so it does seem like a pretty last minute decision to cut it.

I want to ask, has anyone considered it being an easter egg where there are ‘wild’ JPIII style Pteranodons flying?

In the first game, ever since the patch that came with the JP DLC, former community manager Steggs confirmed, after it was found by someone, that Pteranodons can be seen flying above the islands as an “easter egg”. Yet they’re so rare to see, you have to be looking at the right place at the right time to spot them.

JWE2 is confirmed to have easter eggs itself, which includes the phone ringtone from the Spinosaurus. So I wonder if it’s the same here with the JPIII Pteranodons?
