Wheres the pvpers? Jameson mem deserted

I tested full-whack notoriety before (NPCs), reached 10 and I do remember I was hassled enough for me to not do it again:p Could've been high sec systems though, maybe low-sec/anarchy is more quaint (as it should be).

Maybe I should test this again:p
Anarchy doesn't care about Notoriety...
Best I've got to is 5 so only limited experience in other security ratings :)

Hassled? yeah, absolutely ..
But you really shouldn't survive, certainly not in a high sec system, or at least you should be effectively banished funtil notoriety dies down. Perhaps the problem is that the 'edge cases' are having too much infuence on the norm (as an example: fdev has maybe toned down security so that 'victims' of suicide winder attacks don't get too heavily penalised), but there wll always be edge cases, and I think frontier support could also intervene in such cases if there are rare anyway.

I have reached level 10 a few times while doing undermining BGS work, but killing now has less effect BGS wise, so ...
This is another case of watering down the game rathering than beefing it up in my opinion.
This appears to be so, I 'acquired' my notoriety 'cop killing' for BGS and it used to be pretty effective, the effect seems to be diminished since the FC update :( (along with other strange BGS behaviour!)

Now I come to think of it ther was that Hi RES - I got scanned in a Hi RES with notoriety 10 and the ATR jumped in within about 5 seconds and killed my shields with torpedoes before I knew what hit me, so a good security response is already in the game - the main problem is how easy it is to avoid interdictions. The only solution I can see is to give the ATR a special super interdictor module, so you would always have to submit and run continuously.

Notoriety would seem to make a good case for pirate/BGS carriers, for R+R in hostile territory. Or maybe a place to dump your LTDs so you could score a few more, given the limited cargo space in an FDL.

But back on topic, I've noticed a lot less CMDRs at Jameson lately as well the past few times I've passed thru. I'll agree that they're probably out playing with their FCs with little reason to return.

Been hovering about for hours in open 10 clicks away from jameson ...went into supercruise a few times had a scrap with a corvette. I'm in a fdl and I didn't do as well as l wanted.. waked out. Good scrap though..
C'mon where's the nutters?
If you're looking for legit PvP, head to Chomsky Dock in the San Tu system.
You're bound to find a few people there to fight.

Are you in Australia? I am and find that I almost never get instanced with anyone else, makes me wonder why I play in Open. lol Instancing with my housemate took some effort. Latency seems to be the primary issue for me.

Nope ! Quebec (Canada) deep in the forest with a poor internet connection but the absence of CMDRs is 2nd patch of FCs...saw a lot before that !

Looks like the serial ganksters moved to Colonia. Ran into quite a few of the usual suspects from ShinDez there earlier while playing on my alt account.

Makes sense I suppose - higher influx of noobs catching rides on FCs (or travel there in their own), much smaller bubble and as such much higher likelihood of player traffic in Colonia itself at least.

Exciting!

TBH, I have been wondering where everyone is as well. Spent a good while around Wyrd the other night and saw no one. I was starting to wonder if my firewall was blocking connections or something following the FC release. I'm UK based.

Seriously though I'm starting to ask myself if there are instancing issues because I'm clearly not seeing CMDRs in open even in engineers systems...not talking about gankers but usually there are always some CMDRs parked at the engineer base but in the past few days I haven't met a single one in 3 different engineers systems...find it a little bit odd with all the orange sidewinder errors when dropping in or out from SC I'm starting to think that there are instancing issues...
Same issue, I posted this last week.
