Hardware & Technical Which Joystick After X52 Pro??

I have tried them all...and believe this or not...I have found the sweetest setup specifically for ED:
.
It is the venerable " Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 " joystick.... fully configurable in ED Options ...INCLUDING "Yaw" on the stick..awesome!
(It is USB and it retains it's force feedback resistance which can be readily felt.. but not any actual dynamic/reactive force feedback of course as ED does NOT support such.)
.
I have coupled the stick with the fantastic CH PRO Throttle...they even look like they came from the same design studio!
.
Anyone interetsed will have to find the " Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 " stick on the used market but it is well worth the hunt.. a very reliable and robust product that under Windows 10 needs no additional software to run. (It's driver/config software does not work on later editions of Windows and is NOT needed and the stick is automatically recognised in the hardware/game controllers folder of W10)
.
Even the stick's name is appropriate for ED...lol

Well i tried a fresh install of drivers (the latest) and updated my motherboard drivers and it did exactly the same.

I have bought a T16KM FCS as a replacement. So if anyone wants a cheap x52 get in touch.

Here is my dilemma.

I have a fully working X52 Pro sat on my desk unable to be used because Saitek cant make drivers which don't screw my system up completely. I have tried everything i can find to get them to work but to no avail.. So... the question is.. which joystick would be the next best to use n elite? I say next best because imo the X52 Pro was perfect for the job, every button was well placed, i have it down to a T.. (in english that means i had it setup perfect!)

Price isn't really a concern, as long as the Joystick is good!

I like the look of the warthog, but dont know if i could get used to no Yaw.. Which leads me to the X55/X56 but i dont know if it will work with it being saitek again.. drivers are deffo not their strong point..

Any opinions?

Cheers.

If you are on a modern Intel Chipset (i.e. X99) try adding a USB card to your computer (non-Intel chipset). I had an old USB 2.0 PCIe card on hand, which resolved the problem. No way to get it to work with any of the chipset-controlled USB ports, not even the USB 2.0 ones.

Interestingly - one of my friends machine here does the same thing and X52 chokes on on-board USB2 and 3. It works perfectly on the turquoise USB 3.1 connection though. It's a Gigabyte.

My ASUS boards work with on-board USB, apart from my X99 which had a BIOS update recently, and I now get the same issues as other people have reported - which is disappointing as it was fine before. USB 3.1 also seems to work at the moment, so I'll stick with that until some update breaks it.

If you could define 'cheap' for the x52 pro....I'd be interested, as a back up in case I get problems with my Warthog....this is a genuine post, but I'd really like to think you could suss it once and for all bud...I'm actually gutted for ya! o7
