Which method has the least overhead for viewing YouTube vids from within Oculus Dash?

I want to view YouTube from within ED and Dash seems to do the job. I only have a 1070 so need to do what I can to minimise overheads.

I used to use FireFox but heard it was causing issues with ED (choppy frames etc), even when running in the background.

What is a good lightweight app/browser I could use?

Thanks!

I believe there is a cut down version of Opera which is meant to be very lightweight. One of the older overlay applications (pre-dash) used it for that reason.

I use OVR Drop, Paid for App but very functional. Set the frame rate to 20fps for the program you are watching, or 10 for an app and the overhead is minimal. I'm also using a 1070

That's not required with the Rift, the Rift has this functionality natively via Oculus Dash.

I have no problems running movies in dash while playing elite, but for some reason netflix and other web based streaming services in any browser I've tried have caused lag/stutter.

Ditto - some say there isnt an issue but I have seen that problem across two PCs and while using the Win 10 Netflix app.
