Which power sways you most?

I kind of like that independent industrialist Power, Li Yong-Rui. It seems to be a reasonably straight-up, no-nonsense outfit with a go-for-growth business flavour.

Unfortunately, if I align myself with an independent industrialist and then fly around spreading economic prosperity to all, I fear I'll currently be attacked by front line POLICE officers in various other Powers' spheres of influence... which is kind of immersion-smashing for me. It grates badly with my understanding of the way the Elite galaxy "should" work.

So I think I'll avoid pledging to any Power. If I don't press the "pledge" button, everything works sensibly, and my Elite world view built up over 30 years doesn't get its immersionfeels hurt. :)

So... not touching a Power... not while minor faction policemen fly around committing politically motivated murder without anyone batting an eyelid! :S

Em' shield strippers of course... Archon is love Archon is life...

Yarr ~

Yarr,
Tis lookin' like me choice there too GluttonyFang, nothing like a nice set of strippers on your ship 8)
I haven't asked much in chat yet but are most of the fellow CODE members joining Archon as well?

:)

Edmund Mahon and the Alliance for me so far. I like the idea of humanitarian influence and I'm a business person. 2nd would be Aisling Duval because she is an Imperial that is opposed to slavery and her interests support business.

I could care less about the special toys. Just the joy of roleplaying another life.

For Arissa Duval , the daughter of Emperor possesses more benefits than Aisling on succession issues.. And I'm on it for the story and not modules...

You sure her smile is the asset that catches that eye of yours most?
:p

Yeah that's something else to consider.
You can attack another power regardless of being wanted or not if they're in your space right?

I rad that if they're both part of the same major alliance , you can't without getting a bounty...unless thats been 'fixed'.

Denton Patreus because he's evil and it's always more fun supporting or playing the bad guy in games.

Or maybe Pranav Antal. I believe he's a psycho religous nutjob and it will be fun to spread his brand of crazyness to the galaxy. Billions will suffer under him and I will help it happen.

Don't care about the modules.

Yep, its a game, I am going with the nutjobs as it is more fun.

Definitely Pranav Antal.

I just want to see what happens when he gets in charge. Given that he's a utopian, it's bound to be interesting.

This is what I was thinking.
Most people seem to be heading for the shields the first go around but now that it's a set scale as oppose to a fluctuating percentage it shouldn't be too hard to hit rank 3 regardless of how busy that power is.

I figured you more for Archon Delaine, Valethar ;)

I'm going for the guys selling the cytoscrambler (the weapon that does more shield damage and no hull damage)
-
Then I'm going to equip my python with 4 of them and 1 cannon or PA and see how long those shields hold out
-
Anyone have a link to the powers and items specific to them as the link I had has been deleted?

Being in the Beta, and I really don't want this to come across negative as I really think they will sort a lot of the PP issues out following on the AMA the other night but the best time I've had has honestly been when I am unaligned. So I am likely to dip into it to grab a few of the uniques at some point but ultimately I will play nomadic.

From an RP perspective I don't know if it is better to fight for the soul of the Federation on the inside with Felicia Winters, or go for humanity and tolerance straight with Mahon...

I don't think you'll need more than one or two of them max. Lasers already take shields down fast at it is I think 4 sounds like overkill
