General / Off-Topic Which space sci-fi movie in 2013 are you most looking forward to?

If you only could see 1 this year, which would you choose?

to be honest apart from Star Trek which has already been and gone at the flicks, the others all come accross a poor line up.

Im guessing that enders Game is another teenage flick just like the Hunger Games.

Elysium: im already dredding that one,

Europa Report: i think will be easly forgotton

Gravity: has Sandra Bullock and George Clooney in it, which tells me everything i need to know.

Buck Rodgers, thats the first ive heard of it as no where even mentions a 2013 movie, not unless you are refering to the CGI Buck Rodgers film.

Hyperion: hasnt even been annouced yet so doubt very much you will see that in 2013 plus Bradley Cooper writing the script doesnt fill me with great hope.

Riddick: looks like a remake of Pitch Black.

you also appear to have missed out
Pasific Rim
Stranded
Europa Report
The World's End
The Colony
Thor: The Dark World
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Scary to think how long ago the last really good Sci-Fi film was. Early Star Wars, Bladerunner, Alien, 2001....they are all a long time ago (shoot me down in flames if you think they were rubbish too!)

and...agreed. Why do people like Sandra BullocK??

Looking slightly further ahead, 2014 has 2 movies to either see or avoid.

1 is another Tom Cruise Sci Fi flick called Edge Of Tomorrow and the other is the sequel to the last Planet of the Apes film.

Arent the next STAR WARS trilogy underway to be released summer 2014 or was it 2015. got all the other films on dvd so those movies will be on the must see list :D

I've now seen the Oblivion and I must say that it was a very nice movie. It did not underestimate the viewer the way Europa Report and Prometheus did and the plot did not have any serious holes in it. The story was good, even if somewhat predictable and the acting was great.

The best sci-fi movie I've seen this year (though I've not seen Elysium yet).
