Over the past week or two I've seen some great avatars posted on the forums and have PMed a few of there creators to enquire about them.

I'd love to see them all in one place! So, if you have an avatar that you think is a great piece of art, shows something meaningful, or even a twist on ED, I'd love to see them posted here! So, show us your amazing Avatars!

It has nothing to do with ED but Ive been useing this for years now, dont even remember the orignal, I know it was bigger and I love good graffti art.

Sort of reminds me of a younger me (wrong sex but hey) as I used to walk about with Huge headphones for years, which is ironic as now it seems to be fashionable to do that, and Im useing in the earbuds....

My friends kept going on at me for being a grumpy old Brit and using the default Cmdr, helmet on, opaque visor down.

So, eventually, I decided to make a Truesilver, using the black'n'white theme of my forum and Discord avatar and forum sig, which is intended to be consistent with a rather binary mentality towards the ethics of space execution.

I vaguely wanted a sort of 'badger' effect with black'n'white hair and beard. (And stern yet rugged good looks, ofc.)

Unfortunately the best I could do was a sort of plain man or woman (either made no difference) with close-cropped mousy brown hair and skin indicative of the early stages of scurvy.

I gave up, but if the patch is put back a day, perhaps I'll have another go...

Oh, on the subject of holo me, mine is unbelievably my exact spitting image, if you see me in the game, that IS what I look like in real life. It took only 4 randomisations and bam, there I was staring at myself open mouthed thinking 'how the....?'

My Photoshop skills are somewhat lacking, in the same manner that I'm also lacking Photoshop... Lol

I needs powerful, but good photo editor on my phone so I can mess about when I'm bored at work.

Not much of an artisanship in my avatar. Wanted simple yet nice looking red eye. Found one (Ayanami Rei's from Neon Genesis Evangelion - great anime btw. And I like Ayanami much so having her in my avatar is extra bonus), altered a bit myself - bleached hair, and made it as it is - white red themed. It fits my forum and CMDR name, relates to my national colors and fits overall color theme I picked for ED.

I used to make avatars on my own, this one I'v been using for years already because I like it. Simple yet vivid.

I thought the OP was about the Commander Creator.

If it's about forum avatars, mine is Lady Justice.

My sig is I think taken from a RL medieval book.

Both are intended to convey a rather binary take upon the PvP aspects of the game, as I have attempted to deliver for three years pursuant to my in-game career as a Federal Vigilante: if you are neither Wanted nor Powerplay hostile, my Cmdr won't attack you. If you are Wanted or Powerplay hostile, my Cmdr will attack you (*or run away like a cowardy custard, it's a bit context-specific, but at least then he wanted to attack you). No other enquiry occurs, the HUD, the Powers and the system authorities are the only judges of who is marked for death (*or running away from).

Both were images downloaded from a google image search without much more than that. I added the sig after the avatar, to try to make it clearer that I was not merely a 'vegan' duellist. Thankfully the Devs have long since come down on the side of my sig, concerning Powerplay.

Simple one for me, it's the logo I use for my work, my Steampunk stuff, games, facebook... you name it.

Drew the original version of it some 20+ years ago and used it ever since! Chose the wolfs head as my real name is 'Fenris' and as some will already know, Fenris is a wolf from Norse Mythology. I've had 3D animated versions, Flash animated ones, wireframe, just about everything.

This. Makes screenies so much cooler. Just a hair more fidelity and I'd begin posting my cockpit shots to instagram with no one the wiser!

Obligatory on-topic post: I chose mine because our saying for dealing with change in the military used to be: "Be flexible, if not totally rubberized." Everytime I look at my avatar, I hear Eddie Murphy's voice in the old SNL days. And because I'm old and figure most others won't get the reference any more. Adds to my air of mystery...
