What was the need for commenting like this? I think it entirely proves the point of the original post, it is apparently significantly more important to beat down people and put down people's opinions then actually talk, discuss and you know possibly solve something.

One of the problems with all this is people (at least the ones my OP is about) are coming into the discussion with kind of preemptive passive-aggressive attitude and dubious fiction of their own moral high ground.
That basically condemns us to never really talk with one another.

Over a pint, we are able to settle anything. Internet discussions not so much.

No, not really it does not, but what your post seems to do is, the normal thing that happens in threads like this trying to discredit the posts by accusing them of being the same type, even when they most definitely are not.

We live in a world of weak people. Weak minds. Weak bodies. Weak resolve. If there is a standard and a bar (for example a physical standard) those who can not meet that standard do not say "Well, I failed, I must try harder." They say "That bar was placed in an unfair position in which I can not reach and thus it is [racist, left/right extreme, sexist, misogynistic, radical-feminist, sexual discrimination, anti-environmental]" and while sometimes these things apply, they do not apply to everything (military service for example). And if you are to point out what you believe or disagree with, likely, especially by radical liberals you will be labeled a (see previous list). If you are being overly liberal you will be labeled a snowflake. Name calling is normal, rising to standards predetermined by society (as a whole) are not.

Sorry OP, I realize you are talking about the game more specifically *(and I agree on your comments)* but I think it stretches a little further into weakness by society as a whole. Don't get me wrong, I am a centrist who believes in a bunch of different things, and that includes stomping out racism, and sexism, etc. I just also hate weakness. You can't even have a conversation now a days (see the Sorry for America thread) without someone saying "But they did THIS" trying to justify their actions or the actions of a group they prescribe to. Admitting you are wrong, which I consider a strength, is another dying art.

Thanks for letting me rant in your thread. I needed that.

The epic whining that goes on in the forums... I avoid most of it but every now and then, I just gotta needle em...

Look, we all got our gripes and such... I would love a docking request key bind and to be able to change the color of my HUD without affecting everything else, but sometimes you just got to move on. Grinding on and on about the same things over and over again... If the game sucks that bad

DO SOMETHING ELSE!!!


Yes, I know you're just trying to make the game better and the squeaking wheel gets the grease and all that... But have some pity for the rest of us who have to put up with veritable symphony of squeaks, teeth gnashing, moaning and wailing and stop hijacking generally positive threads and commiserate with your fellow players in more suitable threads that wallow in misery and negativity.

No, actually, although I did use Elite as an example, my rant WAS about the general weakness of humankind.
Thank you for your post. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who finds this whole trend disturbing.

Do you know what's the thing about big fishes in the ocean? There are always a bigger one. So no, i don't think i'm invincible, or unerring, flawless and neither any of you, think about yourself or the others like this. ;)

And honestly? In this mater i'm just like Trumph about his woman cases, i don't give a damn about it. But also just like him, i have my ways to deal with this kind of matter. And to be honest? I had some blackmailers in my life.

Let's just say it not ended well to them...

Back in the days when I was whining for the first time we didnt whine about how our whines were mild compared to other whines, we just buckled up and whined harder!
