White or Black?

Crimson

I usually go with Vibrant colours, often Vibrant Green. Cinaedus is bright green at the moment, Meretrix bright red, Bright Star yellow...

blue, but I hate paint degrading as it looks like stig of the dumps ship - wish we could turn it off :(

Awesome Commanders! I didn't realize there would be such a wide variety of colors out there exploring the galaxy. I might stick with Tactical Ice (White) for my explor Python.

Same here. White is great for reflecting the different sun color variations with long range exploring. Makes for great screenshots.

I went with green:

Small paint-related question: I've seen pictures of ships that have been out for some time and their paintjobs were eroded away. Not complaining; kind of like the ship is saying: "I've seen things you wouldn't believe..." I'm curious; at what level does the paint "percentage" have to go down to before the erosion becomes visible? Or is the erosion a high-level graphics quality thing, and not drawn on computers with mid-level graphics?

I play on xbone and the paint degradation works for me (didn't when first launched), so should be visible on any PC.

Here's my T6E during a jaunt after they introduced better white dwarves and neutron stars

I don't usually explore in this ship, but the paintjob alone just makes me want to take it out every so often.
I definetley prefer this over white or black.

Always <3

Have always been a fan in general of satin black/worn/dark graphite looks over pure black.

It's somewhere perfectly in the middle between "classy" and "sinister".

Question for either of you - where does this Cobalt come from? The only Cobalt I have seen is part of the Tactical (or Military?) packs, and it is not a solid color.

Nor is it the color in that screen. Cobalt is a blue-purple color (like the top right corner of the Bailout sig in the post above mine), and that ship looks like a matte graphite.

Thanks,

Riôt

This is Tactical Cobalt on a Courier.

Here's Graphite for comparison.

I think Hoopla's screenshot may have been a Black Friday or maybe Graphite. I think he was showing a black paint job but saying he thinks Cobalt looks better.
Black isn't for sale normally. The "Black Friday" paint was only available on Black Friday. Here it in on a Cobra for reference.
