My Bobblehead was my ship mascot.....I want him back....someone bring back my bobblehead.....![]()
Crews sound interesting, i don't really see what a crew would do without somehow limiting the player, though.
It would be nice to see them with different traits and backgrounds, which provide small benefits to you.
For example, ex-Navy or law-keeping personnel who give you an extra few percent on your claimed bounties.
Engineers who give a little boost to top speed or faster module reboots.
Navigators give a little extra ly on jumps.
Fugitives and criminals who give a small black market bonus (but of course, expect the occasional chase from the law!).
That sounds dull though. Also hate the extra LY idea.Did you see Marra's post on the previous page, That sounds very interesting and beneficial.
I don't eve care if they do anything just having a few other people sitting in those empty chairs would be nice.
Sure. You could hire engineers, weapon experts, navigators, load masters, electricians, etc, and they would all give a buff to your ship.
Engineers cause hull and module damge to slowly recover over time
Weapon experts optimize weapon out put, making them fire longer by using less energy.
Navigators increase radar range by a %
Load masters increase cargo capacity by a %
Electricians reduce the power usage of all core components (thrusters, FSD, sensors, etc) by a %
The better a crew member is at their job the better the buff they provide, and the more money it costs to hire them.
Not all ships can hire every type of crew member for obvious reasons.
I wished I could, but when I attempted to shadow play the sequence, I found out that my last driver update had disabled shadow play (another post on the forum). Can you post a picture.
Source please?
Like I said in my previous post...this type of ssystem will eliminate any sort of skill based system by the player who is in control.
It will be a mad rush to have the best crews...and the ones that are unlucky to not loot or buy the best crews, will have no chance to compete.
This is a bad idea ...npc crews.
For anyone that thinks they would like this idea...go try it out...Star Trek online is free to play...and give yourself a few days training up your npc crews and you will understand how this game mechanicis so detached from twitch based skill...you may as well be playing a board game.
<nods> That's my thinking - although an orangutan might make for an interesting co-pilot too.I want to have a pet, FDev made Kinectimals It shouldn't be hard, right? A Cat would be the perfect co-pilot.
How would you feel...getting killed by another commander...that just has to sit there because he has a good crew and you die...only because his crew is better than yours? It takes skill totally out of the picture.
