What is this upgrade business? Is this a patch or something?
Yes - it's a patch to the game, and one that is required in order to play. If your download is really slow, try using a cabled connection, shutting off phones and other computers, rebooting your router, and calling your ISP and yell at them for thieving from you.

There is nothing wrong with your internet connection. There is something wrong with the way your ISP shapes your traffic.
Look, how big is this patch? cause I have never had this issue with any other game UPDATE not UPGRADE. When will your Brits learn to speak properly!
Not large, it took less than five minutes to download for me.

The servers are plenty fast. There are tips for getting better download speeds, but the eta calculation sucks for updates. It uses total game size and speed to calculate, but these small patches will only update a part of the game. The 1.3 update may well take a couple of hours if your PC isn't configured exactly as required.
