I figured out why all the people in elite dangerous are so grumpy. There is no ice cream anywhere in the universe. Apparently somewhere along the way the technique for making ice cream has been lost.

I'm not grumpy as long as I have my Creme Egg, or failing that (when they are not on sell), a Twix or Penguin!

It is because everything everywhere was so much better back when we were in our late twenties and Elite launched on the Spectrum 48k.
Perhaps all of the bartenders are too busy working separately to rediscover the process of making ice cream?We're grumpy cause you can't get a simple drink at the bar!

If you mean the community, it have good and bad things.
Good things:
People is respectful and helpful with new people (specially in Reddit), there are very few angry kids insulting all the time like in other videogame communities.
Bad things:
People is usually too serious, there are almost no memes or funny things, most people stick to serious discussions and such (in fact, the memes are banned in Reddit except if they are very high quality for the subjetive standards of moderators).
But my biggest gripe is that this is the community with the hottest takes I've seen in any videogame community I've been. They refuse to update things in the game which would be noob friendly, making the game more accesible or cool things for the game (for examplethe reduction of transfer times because "It is a simulator and shuld be at realist as posible" even if it is detrimental for the gameplay) or people despising the players whose want ship interiors because it is useless, the same people saying that this is a simulator and should be as realist as possible. ¯\(ツ)/¯
I think the reasons of the above things (the bad and the good) is because the average age of players is high, which have its pros and cons, haha.
