Why are there no missions on fleet carriers?

I think if you would have your own missions on your own carrier would be a bit over the top as in new speak OP game play wise. Now if you could "create" and offer missions for other players that could be interesting.

Hm. Curious. What kind of missions? Mining "I need this" missions for others to help you with?

Something along the lines, or let's say combat missions for your player faction while your FC is parked next to a combat zone. I doubt that such a thing will exist because every tool to interact with other player was very bare bone ever since the launch. Perhaps odyssey will open up a little more in this aspect, seeing how they plan to introduce social hubs and such.

Gnosis used to have a mission board that had missions for factions in the system.
If you didn't hand in before it moved, tough, you have to abandon it, just like when a faction retreats. It IS all doable with pre existing code.

Forget the out of context quotes that FC cannot effect Bgs. That's horse manure. If you look at the statements in context, you see they were clearly referring to a FC not representing or intrinsically supporting a specific faction. They are simply faction neutral.

What I was trying to say is that FDev, for some reason, always rejected the idea of real player interaction. Obviously I can't know for sure, but it appeared that wings and later squadrons were introduced after the pressure of the community and even these socializing tools are very simplistic.
I remember DB saying in an interview how he was seeing players being out in the galaxy and meeting other players would be a rare and very exciting occurrence.
At least that would explain the odd choice for P2P and non existent economy.

You could effectively install specific mission givers to support your specific play style,by the time you’ve earned enough to buy a carrier you know what missions you like and having the ability to just spawn assassination, long range smuggling and sightseeing missions would have been a major reason for me to want an FC.

Why would it be OP? The only advantage you´d get from this, is the that you don´t have to fly to stations and that only in case of doing no cargo or passenger missions. And therefore you´d get a bit lower mission reward and besides only credits or reputation for reward. I think that would be fair.
