Why aren't Kapok Trees climbable anymore?

Why isn't it possible anymore for Animals to climb on Kapok Trees. I'm pretty sure it was possible before. Also why aren't Stranger Fig Trees climbable?

I don't think kapok trees were ever climbable. I do agree that strangler figs should be climable though
