Why can't I release animals to the wild?

I have a bunch of scorpions and frogs that were bred in my zoo but it won't let me release them into the wild. Am I missing something??

It has the option available, and tells me how many conservation credits I'll get, but its grayed out and provides no information as to why I can't click it. I reviewed the help section and it says animals cannot be released if they are Juvenile, Elderly, Sick, or Sterile. The scorpion I am trying to release is 2.6 years old (an adult) and is not sick or sterile as far as I can tell?

If you bought it with money, then you can't get conservation credits. Selling it is the only way, and to be honest, its worth more to just sell it.

They were bred in my zoo from 2 original that I bought with money. I think there might be an issue with that though because on a different screen they say they're "from the wild" but they're not. My scorpions have been having babies like crazy!

Weird. Maybe its a glitch where you can't release exhibit animals to the wild..

Yeah, it seems like no exhibit animals are able to be released right now, which is a shame because they breed like crazy
