Why do we get less content in the DLCs?

In Planet Coaster 1 we had more rides and new themes in the paid DLC. 5 rides for 10€? Really? Inflation came to the Planet Coaster 2 world I guess.

The world is not the same place that it was. Especially from the finances point of view. So when you consider that we're getting the same £7.99 DLC price that Planet Zoo has had for 5 years then we're really doing quite well aren't we.

Yes, inflation exist and I understand that it does in fact indeed the gaming industry as well.
However: For me it's a difference in how it is approached.

If we got the same content in a DLC as before and the price would have gone higher, that would be an open price raise. Open price raises let the customers see at one glance exactly what is going on and the company can easily argument with inlation etc.

What Frontier did here is a hidden price raise. Basically like when you buy your same brand of favourite crisps for years, it has the same price, but low and behold suddenly 20% less product in it. Without communicating it openly, unless you take an extra look on the weight of the package. So it's basically a way for a company to hope to get away with a price raise without anyone noticing much.

I can absolutely understand open price raises, because indeed everything is more expansive and at the end of the day I want Frontier to regrow, invest in new Devs and pay them fairly. Hidden price raises, however, do not sit well with me. Absolutely not. I feel like I am trying to be fooled and with the already damaged trust that the rocky launch of PC2 and the "changes" in the game caused, this makes me far more angry than it would have anyway.
Basically I paid a premium price for a game in beta stage and now they are basically asking me to pay additionally for a DLC that was strapped of a lot of content in comparision to previous games and in both cases they did not communicate it that clearly.

I guess I would be ok with less content per DLC if they released DLC packs more often. But games like RCT3 and Parkitect have a ton of user made rides for free. Those two games as well as RCT2 have the ability to import custom made flat rides, tracked rides, coasters, etc. but Planet Coaster 1 and 2 do not because the files are more complex and there seems to be no way to muck with the files maybe because of Denuvo? The thing is with user made rides there is no quality control. I saw bad custom made rides in RCT2, RCT3 and Parkitect that weren't worth the download. But, on the other hand, there are some really nice ones including custom RCT3 rides by a person or group from Brazil that are very detailed. I hated that the Custom Scenery depot shut down and that database of rides for RCT3 was lost, but a new site called Parkcrafters opened but I don't think they moved every ride over yet from the Depot. One ride that is hard to find is Old Spice's steam trains but I happened to have the files saved on an external drive. I rebought RCT3 on Steam the Complete Edition published by Frontier themselves.

Ultimately I do think the same as everybody else. It was right for Frontier to apologize for a bit of a lackluster Thrill Seekers pack even though it was a nice surprise for it to arrive. I really have been expecting to pay more to receive less. But hopefully that won't be a reality.

Frontier also said a lot of free content will be coming by way of an apology. I am unsure exactly how this benefits all of the people who showed day 1 full price support and DLC support.

We get the game we thought we bought. Just very delayed.
The free updates don't cost me anything, the game will still be there once it's fixed. Until then, I won't invest anything in it. Not even time.
