Why do we have a Solo-only CG?

It's a partial CG. PCG? Semi-CG?
Will there ever be a non-Horizons CG?

I don't really care, but it's the principle. A CG should be a CG for everyone.

It would be cool if a combined CG was implemented. One with an Horizons stage and one with a non-Horizons stage which are dependent upon each other.

Let's not pretend they care about CG integrity at this point.

Who is going to stop under armed explorer 300 Ly from the bubble from delivering "station cure" packages ?

Oh wait... Nobody who deserves to have their fun by doing so, so it doesn't matter if it's solo only :)

Well.. in open there's difficulties in docking when lots of people are in same outpost... and... umm.. NPCs might shoot you. And.. That's pretty much it.
In PG and Solo, there's no docking difficulties in outposts.

Given that we got a meta alloy CG (which I already called out to be coming in the canonn thread) that needs like 100k units for Tier 1 (~900 delivered and I can't even SEE a bar on the graph currently) is pretty much FD making the statement "go and farm in solo", so nope, it's not a bug, it's a feature :D

That's a jolly good point!
So I suppose the difficulty scale would be:
v.easy = winged private group
easy = winged open
normal = solo solo
hard = solo private group
v. hard = solo open

(In another thread, a new player was asking for tips for how to make the game less difficult for him, and my advice to him was to play in open with friends, because solo was probably the hardest game mode for a new player with less than brilliant flying skills.)

Nope as Horizons has all features from previous versions.

"All Jacuzzis are hot tubs, but not all hot tubs are Jacuzzis." is a good way to look at it.

Had to get a Sheldon Cooper quote in there somehow.

There's been a number of non-Horizon CGs lately, so...huh?

That would be an interesting CG, but I'm not sure it would be a good one to try, as we've got enough people who complain about Horizons that the odds of them actively interfering with the CG would be too high methinks.

In my experience barnacles don't show up at all in solo (don't know if it's a bug or a feature), so OP you're probably worried about nothing.

So at the moment we have combat CG where all CZ's are under ceasefire and a story CG that is best done by exploit.
