Why FDev.. just why make this game so tedious on purpose?

Your solution isn’t one that is necessarily the best, or the only one, regardless of what you may think of it. Player-driven markets are open to the exploits of real-world cash money changing hands for in-game goods, which I and I suspect the devs may think is A Bad Thing.

Edit: and as for ‘shouting’ talking down to and insulting those you’re trying to convince isn’t particularly, you know, convincing 🤷‍♂️

Well your solution is to basically skip content.

What content have I skipped? My fleet is mostly engineered without grind pain, the game is what you make of it. FDev have acknowledged that the player base isn’t entirely happy with material gathering or at least trade ratios and are looking into it, insulting each other on here isn’t going to bring change any faster. Up above you’ll see @Ydiss making a much more reasonable posting that I find pleasantly refreshing.

Just curious...if for the last 5 years you had to leave your SRV on foot, pick the mats by hand and slowly hand deliver them back to your SRV then would the current mechanic of auto scooping something by driving over it be progress?
The issue people have is that game mechanics can get dumbed down, so instead of playing the game you just click a button and BOOM everything is done automatically for you. Now, you could come up with a brilliant idea on how to make the process more engaging and FD listen and implement it. You are now a happy camper...but the next person who comes along says that this method is still too grindy...you can't win. People are still pushing for instant travel teleportation between stations, because SC is too grindy.
The crux of all of this is that you want a G5 maxed out ship, but don't want to put in the couple of hours required to get the mats...why not go the whole hog and have a station button that says "Max out engineering on modules....1m credits"..that will definitely solve the problem of the "grind".

Go for Ruben thornless. Best blackberries ever and bigger than grapes!!!
Yes it would be progress. With the rest you are completely wrong.

I wonder if a simple 'fix' would be to start everyone out with full mats - so those with no patience get to make their uber-vette and move on to the next game without needing to post a rant, and those who decide to stay get straight to the 'I'm just topping up' stage. Which is, admittedly, a nicer place to be than the 'you have no mats, go find everything' place we start at. Interesting 🤔

This is not an issue of patience.

What happened to him on Frontier Forums?

Whenever he mentions the official forums in his vids, he is less than kind?
Nothing happened to him. That's just how he acts. Going back a few years I seem to remember he whined on a livestream with OA DJTruthsayer and others that he wasn't one of the chosen invited to see new content (the beyond stuff I think) and DJ pointed out Yamiks had told Zac he would never sign an NDA, and maybe just maybe that's why he wasn't invited ...

Yamiks is just Yamiks.

I put the name Yamiks into a scrabble solver and instead got this Wikipedia entry:

Cyclone Kamisy
Intense Tropical Cyclone Kamisy was considered the worst tropical cyclone to affect northern Madagascar since 1911.

the above seems appropriate given his nature and vids

GOT THEM!!!!!! 🤣

You never hear the news reporting on it?

They always talk about the loss of life and damage to property and infrastructure?

Who would have thought that bottom burps posed such a risk during a cyclone?

I wonder if they edit out all the people holding their noses in the aftermath of the cyclone?
