WHY is an A rated KWS TRIPLE the power draw of A shield booster?

So a Planetary surface scanner fills an internal optional slot. A Prospecting limpet controller fills an internal optional slot. A regular scanner fills a core internal slot. A Xeno scanner, Pulse wave scanner, and a KWS fill a utility slot.

The regular scanner with identical function and rating on a sidewinder and an anaconda will have VASTLY different masses.

Who knows what is going on here?

I dunno.

From a recent test I did, I got 1,865,834,496 normal bounties plus 805,496,704 from the KWS, which works out at 43.2%. I'm not sure whether that is typical. I'd need to do another test. I did many tests before and it always worked out at around 30%, but that was before the buff to bounty payouts .

If you farm in Gende, the bulk of the KWS money can be claimed from the main faction in the station where the nearest IF is, so you don't have to pay the 25% IF charge on much of it.

OTOH you can boost the primary bounty with ALD or ZH faction bonuses if you farm in their space. Worst case you add 20% to the primary and lose 25% from the KWS, dropping it to a 25% increase over the primary bounty, best case if your faction is on top you add 50% to the primary and it drops to 21% for the bonus. (If you're a mad person and you maintain rank 5 you double the primary).
