Why is Frontier afraid of primates?

All I can ask is why?
Childhood Trauma🙃

only a single new world representation, the capuchin
What especially annoys me about this: it seems to be the only Zoo Game in Existence that even has New World Primates (the Primate House from Zoo Tycoon and extremely bad Browser Games don't count) yet they do nothing with it despite that Fact. I hope this just means they want to work on some Things first to make them better (good Spidermonkey Animations for Example)

I feel like with leaving the Hamadryas baboon out of the Arid Animal Pack
Would've made the Pack even better. Just hope this won't lower the Chance to get both a Species of Baboon and the Gelada someday.

Damn, how much I wish for a Primate Pack

The bigger Question is though: why so afraid of Fish?🙃🐟🐠🐡🦈

Maybe they wanna improve the climbing system, so they are rejecting primates until it's better.
🤔 I don't really think a improved Climbing System would be that important for Baboons but it might explain why we don't get any additional Primates at the Moment.
What might be interesting regarding Climbing though would be climbable Rocks. Would just be absolutely perfect for Baboons, Japanese Macaques and I would also love to use those for Chimpanzees

Man baboons are scary. No wonder frontier is afraid, we all should.
😂🤣

See I feel like we're fine on apes but we're lacking....

A few unique lemurs like the sifaka
Still hoping to someday get the Aye Aye in the Game 😍
And a Option for Nocturnal Houses that doesn't make it necessary to build a Staircase leading underground 🙃

A lot of different monkeys, especially the New World kinds
Also shouldn't forget Africa and Asia though.
Something like a Congo Pack with one or two Primates and the Congo Peafowl would be really nice. Feel free to steal that Idea, Frontier🙃 Not sure but I think some Species of Duiker could be added as well to that so it would only still need a Exhibit Animal. African Grey Parrot?😊

Maybe it's just me, but I fail to see how a sifaka would be much different from the three Lemurs we already have, let alone unique...
Movement for Example

and a 4th lemur
Doesn't sound that bad🙃

Yeah i would still welcome the sifaka and aye aye.
👍

nor is Frontier "afraid of them". Birds? Maybe lol.

disappointment of siamangs there was little want for them anymore
Disappointment? What happened? Only Thing I could imagine is how extremely limited Brachiation was at the Moment. By the Way: was it added to Ropes already?

(THE BEST PRIMATE EVER IS THE GOLDEN SNUB NOSED MONKEY, PROVE ME WRONG)
How the Hell should anyone prove that wrong? It's a Fact

Even Europe has its Barbary Macaque
Would love this one so much if they should ever consider selling single Animals for a small Price that would be really easy to make

Because when they were young and were on a school trip to Gibraltar, a macaque stole their bananas.
😆

I think primates and especially monkeys are more difficult to animate good as we still have bigger climbing issues. But regarding the Hamadryas Baboon I think it is saved as a Headliner for a Future Pack (No knowledge from me sure but I somehow have that feeling).

Clearly you haven't seen a sifaka next to a true lemur. Looks alone make them different, plus the sifaka's locomotion is way different than the lemurs. It's like comparing blackberries and blueberries: both are berries, yet they are completely different that you won't dare say they're the same

Yes sir. Now you don't require the huge enrichment frame. Brachiation is possible on ropes and vines, so you can make custom frames

Maybe they think alot of people dislike monkeys? I know people that hate primates because they remind them of us (I find this really silly), but it is true.
I do not think it is because bugs with climbing since they gave us alot of other animals that climb and that was never issue. I also do not think animation is issue, they animated porcupine quills, peafowl tail feathers, seals moving around, even gibbons brachiating.

A lot of people hate snakes too. That didn't stop them.

And I think even these people who tend to dislike primates are mostly having some types of primates in mind like apes, baboons, macaques, and similar.
I don't think they feel the exact same way about monkeys like guerezas and tamarins.

Must have for me:
Black and white colobus/Mantled guereza for its appearance
Black howler monkey for its sound
Hamadryas baboon for its popularity
Barbary macaque for their unique niche, and because its a previous ZT2 animal

Also welcome would be: Common Patas monkey, Tamarins, Spider monkeys, squirrel monkeys, Gelada, Vervet monkey, Francois Langur, Douc Langur, Rhesus Macaque, Black Crested Mangabey, Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey, Guenon,

Nice to read that. I wish I could finally repair my PC again. It's still broken. Especially frustrating because I came up with a absolutely awesome Layout for the Entrance Area of the Zoo I want to rebuild

If we keep saying primates instead of monkeys then we risk ending up with a 2nd orangutan, a 3rd gibbon and a 4th lemur and that won't get us anywhere.
If this means a new rig for the orangutan, with improved models( not that the actual ones are too bad), I would totally take a Sumatran.

I'm mainly against sifaka caus either we get it then we'll have the same Mount of lemurs as we do monkeys. That's not good.

I'm personally not against that, but only if the sifaka (and maybe the aye-aye) are added. Any other lemurs, in my eyes, are not needed and should just be monkeys

Why tho? If we get 3 gazelles, 3 rhinos and however many african antelope there are now, 2 "baboons" shouldnt be such a stretch
Two ‘baboons’ in consecutive packs is highly unlikely and I don’t think many would argue otherwise..

Two primates, very possible, a Hamadryas Baboon followed by a gelada specifically? Nah.

We’ve only had 1 DLC gazelle. The others were base/deluxe. The two African rhinos were several DLCs (and years) apart. Not to mention the two African rhinos are the only two African rhinos and a lot more iconic than baboons. There’s many different species of Baboon to to the point that adding more than one would be a bit odd because it wouldn’t exactly ‘complete’ the Baboon roster but give two very similar species anyway. Like if they add the hamadryas and the gelada, then what about the olive and the chacma?

Aren't geladas fake baboons? They aren't considered true baboons like the Hamadryas...

Personally, I'm happy with just the Hamadryas. Gelada would be a bonus, though, because they live in cold areas while the Hamadryas is arid. And the mandrill, the other fake baboon, is tropical...

Geladas aren't Baboons but closely related. I think they are also the only Primates that are specialized to eating Grass that much
