Why no Thargoid Tech?

Enzyme Missile,
Meta Alloy HRPs,
Corrosive Resistant Cargo racks,
(Arguably, but I guess not relevant as this is obviously about NEW thargoid tech)
EMP,
FSD(probly wrong here???),
Shield generator (probly wrong here???)

But, yeah, I mean, the lightning weapon they use would be COOL

Also, TRACTOR BEAM!?

The uber grind upgrade tech this and that eventually gets nerfed into basically standard modules with cooler sounding names, somehow.

That would make researching Thargoid Tech priority #1. You'd be 1 jump away from Beagle point... while looking at Earth!
We'd be looking at unlimited jump range, opening other galaxies.

So, YES! Start working on capturing that goid ship and start tearing it apart.

There is an abandoned settlement called Ameida Landingon, in which the comms recorded how an engineer tried to reverse engineer the thargoid engine. It turned out...not so well. It 's on Conn A 3 if you want to see it for yourself, or if you don't want to make the run, you can search it on Canonn's website.

Just thinking about the next community goal and all the Guardian tech we have adapted....

After all the data and stuffs collected from the Thargoids, how come we have not adapted any of their tech?

Just wondered...I mean i'd like to have their tractor beam for starters :)

Yep and why not pictures of the thargoids themselves? We've destroyed enough of their ships that you would think some of them should be floating about in space.

The Guardians are an alien humanoid species. They became extinct 1 to 2 million years ago.

It's a pretty safe assumption that the Thargoid's have the same or better ability to re-spawn to a place of safety as we do. I mean, where did we get the technology to re-spawn and not actually die, if not from the Guardians or Thargoid's whom got it from one or the other themselves.

Brilliant :)

I kind of think the recent "leak" whether or not it is really a leak is close to the bone with regards to what FDev are doing for 2020 update. What I mean by that is I think that beg new era update will bring "legs" and possibly atmospheres, and with it boarding thargoid ships on foot, and as well as the combat with actual thargoids not just their ships. The boarding of thargoid ships on foot will be the gameplay to get the materials for tech broker unlocks of things such as the tractor beam, the lightening weapon, a swarm launching weapon that fires out human based approximations of a thargoid swarm.

I also think 2020 is when we will see our first thargoid hive ships, and we will need every bit of technology, human, hybrid thargoid/guardian/whatever, that we can get our hands on to deal with them.

The respawning is just a gameplay thing, it's not actually technology or anything. Fairly sure you knew that though.

Because they would come full of bugs.

* Ok I'm out *

Thargoid heart power plant, and them shields regen so fast! Then the jump range, choose a galaxy! Guardian tech? Puh!

Thargoid tech is a nice idea and has a huge scope for varying gameplay, but considering from an NPCs point of view that my ships are already something out of nightmares that should never have been unleashed upon the galaxy (just like any other player who has unlocked more than a couple of engineers), some rebalancing is going to be needed or those elite pirate assassinations are going to be 10 second point, click, kill jobs.

Thinking about it, this is probably why after all the work to get guardian tech, you don't have anything that is any better at killing anything other than thargoids.

Problem is to allow the organic tech of Thargoids interface with the anorganic tech we use. I guess one could apply some concepts of cybertechnology to this, effectively giving anorganic systems organic implants. Inverted cybertech? Could check with the Guardians who were quite advanced with implants and then use their discoveries to apply on Thagoid tech. But: Would Thargoid organics be happy by being connected to our ships with Guardian interfaces?
